what is Registry , How to backup registry ?

Registry is most important in computers , it is like heart of Operating system if you delete any files or corrupt in registry your computer may not boot . so always back up your registrry before you do any changes to it

using registry you can control operating system . and alter things in OS .

Registry mainly contains  system.dat  and  user.dat  both the user settings and information and Hardware of computer are stored in these hidden files .

Run > regedit > choose File menu > export > and save the file

You can back your registry in the same way  by Importing ..

we can import the registry settings like this

start > Run > regiedit

Now registry editor window will open you can the pick like this

In the above window now you can go to the  File > Export > save the backup of registry in Hard drive or you can write that registry file in CD also

   so like this way we can create a backup of regstry

Now we will see how to  restore the regisgtry when some problem occurs with computer operating system

In the above picture you can see File > Import > now browse the already backuped registry file and click Ok

Now you will window message that your computer registry is updated .

so this is the way you can Export and Import  the registry
