Well..another interesting month so far! I was switched back to Asacol from Colazal. I've had a bone scan and a gastric emptying study done! The bone scan was easy! I just layed there, and a machine went back and forth across my body for about 15 minutes, and that was it. Now , on the other had the gastric emptying study..was..well...very gross..I had to eat an egg that had radioactive material in it. My GES showed that my stomach is a little sluggish..enough to make me sick when I eat. My bone scan showed that I'm showing bone loss starting in my right hip, then going down my leg. I've been placed on a nasal spray that is calcium..only once a day-one spray -thats it! On March 18th I went to my regular doctor to see if he would handle the pain control issue..and he agreed with no reluctancy what so ever! I was very suprised myself..Usually when I mention pain control the doctor's make faces..and Don't want to do anything to help me. But he was the first doctor that has said that he really believes that there is NO drug addiction problem here, and he believes that I really am in pain! I really am in pain too. Finally someone who agree's!! There are people out there who aren't opium-phobic!
