January 1995-September 1996

My first GI doctor was nice. He was the one that diagnosed me with Crohns disease. After I was diagnosed for the next 8 months my medicines would be changed from this to that, and increased, or stopped. I was going no where real fast! My GI doctor was a good doctor. He just had to many patients and not enough time to really take care of them. On top of that he was about 65 miles from where I lived. Everytime I would get sick it was a big ordeal to just get to his office to be seen. It took one or two days alone for the office to return your phone call. Sometimes they were so busy I would just go to my regular doctor. It quickly grew old, and I wasn't getting any better. From the prednisone my face was only getting more round, and the acne really made my self-esteem drop to below zero. And to make matters worse I was getting very far behind in my school work. My doctor suggest that I go on homebound, and I did. I needed a new GI doctor, and my grandpa suggested I go see his GI doctor...
