Just a little bit of news for anyone who was worried after watching the 9th inning of last night's game: Rich is OK. No serious injuries.

From the 9/27/01 SF Chron:
Aurilia started the ninth by lining a double into the left-field corner off Shaw for his 193rd hit of the season. Aurilia appeared to be seriously hurt after he slid into second. He wasn't, but he was in serious pain.

"I took a hard tag in a sensitive area," Aurilia said. "If you want to know what it really was, you'll have to bleep it out. I'm glad I have a kid already. "
