Lodging, Etc.
Comfort Inn, 300 Boston Post Rd, Guilford, CT, (203)453.5600. (Across street from nice local diner, "Parthenon/Shoreline Diner & Vegetarian Enclave.")
Ramada Limited (just changed to "Best Western"), 3 Business Park Dr, Branford, CT, (203)488.4991. (Near good place to eat, "Chowder Pot III.")
Days Inn, 375 East Main St, Branford, CT, (203)488.8314. (By a large movie-plex & a Margharitaville!)
Fairfield Inn, 400 Sargent Dr, New Haven, CT, (203)562.1111.
Have heard good things from people staying at each of these places. All are easily accessed from I-95. The Comfort Inn in Guilford is closest, don't even need to use the highway to reach the fields. The Branford hotels are not much further, 15 min?, and I think the Days Inn is the least expensive of the four hotels listed. Or if you'd like to explore the city, New Haven should only be about 30 minutes? If you stay somewhere else and are happy with the place (or not happy), let us know and we'll add it to the website for next year! There are also some very nice bed & breakfasts all up & down the coast, expensive but very nice.
***Theoretically, there is camping at Hammonasset Beach State Park. They've over 500 sites and the fee is very reasonable, but summer weekends tend to be completely booked up by mid-May. Nor is there any way for the tournament to book blocks of sites in advance. It can be worth a call for the odd site or cancelation but is not a reliable option. HBSP, 1288 Boston Post Rd, Madison, CT; Campground (203)245.2785, .
