ABOUT US

The orang-utans is, one of the animals in the world’s largest tree-dwelling mammals, lounges high in the trees, they spending most days eating and exploring the forest. But the new research shows these primates are not all too picky about what kinds of trees where they call home. And that flexibility could prove critical to the long-term protection of the orang-utans from illegal logging and forest fires. Orang-utan is including protected animal. Their population is reduced because of the threat to the natural habitat. Clearing for plantations, forest encroachment, expanding residential areas and the opening of mines threaten the existence of orang-utans. Arrests and illegal trade threatens orang-utan population also contributed. Therefore protecting orang-utans is very importance to us and to the world as a whole for our next generations.

MUCIG GROUP was planning to create a fundraising website in order to help Orang-utans in Borneo area.

i.  Semenggoh Wildlife Centre Sarawak

ii. Sepilok Rehabilitation Centre Sabah

Our overall mission is to conserve the orang-utan and the biodiversity of their habitat through the protection of the tropical forests of Borneo by fundraising method.

Fundraising for the Orang-utans is one of the most effective and fun ways you can help save orang-utans and the biodiversity of their rainforest home.

There are some ideas and ways in order to get the collection and donation for orang-utans. Among these are:

i.          Sponsored Walks or Run / Find a Sponsor

ii.         Sticker, Book and Soft Toy Sale

iii.        Selling T-shirt

iv.        Raise / donation funds

v.         Merchandise of orang-utans

vi.         Have an Orange Day for Orang-utans

We hope through this charity everyone can put our hands together and this fundraising activity and will get support whether from the local Public or international Public. The funds help to provide on-going support for a wide range of projects, including habitat protection, rehabilitation projects and orphan care centres, and OKU.
