letters from the participants
Hello and Yasou
This is a message to everyone I met at the NES reunion. Even though I didn't know you all it was a pleasure meeting such a great bunch of people. I tell you it was really refreshing for me living on this leeeetle island which I love. Thank you Marios for including me - you're a fab organiser. Susan it was good to meet you at last, we must get together to talk about your father knowing mine.  Petra never got a chance to chat at all never mind next time? Mona well Mona you're still Mona fun and soooooo direct (ashtray
> = hara), so good to meet up with you again. Sally and John have a great wedding in 3 months so nice meeting you. Zeina and Dana what lovely sisters, listening to you talking took me back to my roots in Lebanon nostalgia or what. Anyway basically I had fun and THANX for including moi. Au revoir and ma salaam for now.  > lol saxx:)

Hi Marios!
Just to let you know that everything went well, flight on time, no delays, we were back in Stockholm 02.45 and slept like babies (decided not to call you at that un-godly hour..) and to thank you again for all the effort you have put into this..a truly unforgettable experience!!  I am looking forward to keeping in touch with most of the group and seeing some of the pictures on the Web. Ill develop my films asap and see if they are worth scanning in..  Best regards from cold (15 degrees) and windy Sweden...
ERIC
Dear Super Mario,
Thanks for everything. No matter how much we've already said thank you I don't think it's enough. Anyway you haven't told me if the mangos were all right. They are now more readily available but I can't send you some so why don't you come and get them!!!!! I hope to see you and Susan and the kids here some day soon. I have a couple of potential bridegrooms for Louisa and I would like a picture of the whole family. Take care and all my love to Themis, Louisa and Susan.  Lots of love..

hi guys,
greetings from the "lowest -tech" member of the reunion 2000! as you can see i have not yet mastered the art of capitals on this damned machine, never mind the weird and wonderful world of "scanning" and "home pages". having done a minor rip van winkle impression and slept for almost 2 days straight on my return, i faced all my nearest and dearest and set to regaling them with the events of the previous 4 days which i have to say i thought were hilariously funny. well, either it's the way i tell 'em, or you had to be there to understand it all because the blank looks i got halted me in my tracks! at the time i DID think that 26 almost 40 year old adults flying down a wet tunnel in the dark was tremendous fun!! anyway, at the risk of sounding repetitive, a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to marios for a superbly organised event. just a thought for next time.... instead of the mountain safari, could we borrow imad's yacht for a leisurely cruise around the island?..it's just that the bruises on my arse were a little difficult to explain away! and thank you lorna for the mention of my "provocative" groin strain obtained on the "Big (water) Tit", that too required some pretty fast talking!!  now i have never been one for gushing sentimentality, so instead i thought i'd just share with you some of the highlights that i have committed to memory.  1. the rodericks sisters singing in the back of the 4 wheel drive in the key of C sharp, way above anything a mere mortal could achieve.  2. pico attempting to solve his server problems on the phone over the noise of 1. above.
3. petra slapping on her lipstick at every available opportunity, and looking in vain for those "washboard abs" on the guys!
4. ron and eric on a high for holland, (sorry about the last match guys, i was rooting for you!)
5. lying with a straight face to jaleh and imad about how much fun it was to throw themselves down the Dare devils slides.
6. the look of sheer torture on pico's face in the sauna, and his determination to stay in there as long as majella and petra.
7. christos with his car full of crazies and his rather interesting highway code.
8. dana and her never ending bag full of chocolate!
anyway it struck me as being quite strange that a bunch of people who have n't seen each other for over 20 years , some of whom you did n't really know to begin with could have such a good laugh together. CONCLUSION.. let's do it again soon!!  On a more personal note.. CHARLES, SALLY, LORNA, and KAREN, i will be in london arriving on the saturday 15th july pm. any chance of getting together with spouses, etc.and kids for a while on the sunday and having a chat and a look at the pictures we all have? we might be staying with some friends in thames ditton for the first couple of days if they are there , i will have to check, after that we will be staying down near bromley in kent.   PETRA, i can still hear your crazy laugh.. i have n't forgotten i lost my bet to you so i will be coming to germany to visit. by the way, do your dogs bite??( and are you a peter sellars fan) PICO, MARIOS, and SUSAN, i am expecting you in bahrain around september or october, don't let me down.  ZEIN and DANA i will stop by Kuwait sometime, I'd love to see the old school again and have time for a good chat with you guys.  JALEH, i don't think we had enough time together, we were just starting to get going, keep in touch on the old e mail.  CHRISTOS, i can't think of you without remembering the song we used to sing to you, and i still have a good laugh. and Elena if you come to the middle east, please get in touch okay?  LINDA, i have a great piccy of you with petra and imad which i will have copied for you, why don't you come and visit and get some winter sun soon?  AYAD,and BASIL, i almost wish i HAD stayed on for 6th form with you guys, it sounded like you had a great time.  MONA,SURUR ,ROLA, ERIC,RON, MAJELLA, "mi casa su casa" as they say in some foreign language, so do please feel free to come and visit anytime at all, with your families too! there is plenty of room always.  MARIA..Damn, but you missed a great time, and we missed you too ! Drop me a line if you have a moment.  Enough is enough.  love to all, see you soon, >>
NADIA
Hi SUPER MARIOS!
A really cool name you've given us.  I'll have to make this trip "in to the past" with my family soon, coz when I told the boys about that place I had to promise to take them there too!!!!!!!Well I have been back for a while now, but I have been "soundless", I lost my voice for about 2 days. It was bloody freezing at the airport (excuse my language).  However I had a nice chat with Linda.  How are you doing Linda?   I have also been busy packing the boys off to my mothers last week.  And anyway I am not so good with "speeches".  I agree with you Marios that we could've had some more time to talk to each other. I was lucky enough to have a "roomy" and managed to catch up some parts of the past 20 years with her but I didn't get the chance to "speak" with everybody.  I think it was great getting to know some of you that I didn't know before or wasn't so close to.  Needless to say that I already miss you guys, but hopefully the next 5 years will be used wisely visiting each other. I will be happy to borrow your "loo" Loony, and have already promised Emir a visit to London to meet the "beautiful chick" that bought him all those books.  To all you guys otherwise "my house is your house", so whenever you feel like it please give me a call and come for a visit. I am in Norway all through the year, but in summer I am "at home", mostly in our summer house in Croatia. So if Norway is cold, give me a call and we can meet in Croatia.  Sorry about Holland/Italy Ron and Eric. Better luck next time.  Ron tell Majella that its best to stick to our sons football games and screaming from the sidelines!!!!!  Its much more fun anyway.  My pictures aren't finished yet. I have
ordered an extra sett and will send them around to you guys. Could you set up an extra colomn to the contact list with adresses Marios?.  Talk to you guys soon again !>>>Luv
