| To all, Hope you all arrived back home safe and without any problems. This is just a short note to thank you all for coming over to Skiathos and I really hope you all had a magnificent and unforgettable time. It was good to see you all and I believe that once again this has been another successful and smashing Reunion despite the sadness on the last day but that was to be expected. Especially I will like to thank every single one of you for the best birthday I ever had�I will never forget this special day at Banana Beach and I will always treasure your gift (placate) Pico, thanks, well done for all the great assistance and co-ordination. | Dear Marios The reunion was great. People were happy, the ambiance was friendly, the organization meticulate and everyone lived in a dream for one week. Then unfortunately the dream was over. The memories however, will keep the mood going for quite some time. I think that it takes a lot for someone to go through the procedure of trying to please everybody knowing that all you'll get for your efforts is still another ''lousy'' N.E.S. T-shirt. Really Marios, everyone has already thanked you but I insist on putting it on e-mail so that history can register it! From all my heart I wish to thank you for the time, patience and the willingness that you had in making this reunion another memorable one for all of us. Not only you went through all the details without showing any sign whatsoever of being fed-up, but it was obvious to everyone that what you did was from the heart, and this is very important. | Dear Marios, Amazing how things sound different in e-mail messages once you have actually met the e-mailer in person. Thank you for all you have done,I can't believe how everything went smoothly with no major glitches despite the large number of people. It was well organized with the right balance of free time. I enjoyed meeting everyone. It is just unforgettable. You allowed me to visit the past for one whole week and you choose the right place. You did good, ....actually great.... you should be proud of yourself. I am happy to have met you. I am sorry you do not intend to organize the next reunion. If the above sounds like a fax, I hope you will forgive me for I am still jet lagged and .......my mind is still on the beach somewhere in Greece with fading voices and laughter. | Marios, I know that we all have thanked you over and over, but I want to add that this reunion has surpassed all my expectations (apart from the Hotel in Athens!!). Meeting everyone again was great, the place and settings fantastic. Thank you for creating the oportunity to share such an experience and memories to remember (and the chance to have a mini honeymoon with Elena) ...in fact Elena and I felt a sense of a sort of sadness or emptiness on our arrival in Madrid. Ron, Majella, Zein, I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to you guys 'cause I thought that you'd be at Imad's party (when Elena told me it was too late). | Dear Mario: I wanna thank you personally for getting all of us together and putting up with our bullshit at times. I just got home and I thought I was in a dream being with all of you on the island, it went so fast. Therefore, today I started researching where the next reunion will take place. I've started calling few places, believe me I'm not wasting time. I can't wait for the next one to take place. Thank you habibi for the great time that we've had. I loved it. Talk to you soon Habibi, next time you probably should share a room with me. You'll be on the safe side. No one will bother you early in the morning. | Dear Marios, Thanks to you and everyone for making the reunion such an enjoyable experience. Also thanks to Pico for organising us from Atherns to Skiathos. But this was about far more than organisation. It was so good to see some familiar faces and find, after the initial strain to recognition, that it was as if we had all only been apart for 23 days, not 23 years. Then there were the people I really didn't know at school but got to know on this trip. I had a great time, sitting around in the evenings, drinking, listening to Pico's insane stories, going into the blazing sun and then trying to escape it, dancing like a maniac, scoffing all that delicious food and seeing all those diverse personalities mesh, mostly seemlessly and sometimes with some grinding sounds but at least it was always real. I've got two rolls of 36 film and will try to develop that soon and get it on the web. I look forward to seeing the same crowd and some additions that I missed this time in the Carribian in two years time. Take care, Gerard. |
