I have decided that it would be great to offer some Website Awards that are purely Tasmanian and Australian.

The awards below were made by me using PSP7, and although I am
very new to using this I have enjoyed it.
You can get a trial version of Paint Shop Pro
here.

When applying for an award, please read the guidelines below.
(they are easy...honest)
Award guidelines

* Email me the Award number you are applying for, when you email please make the subject line Award Apply.

* If you have music on your site PLEASE let me be able to turn it off without having to use the "Stop" button in my browser.

* Everyone enjoys an informative site, but one based just on links to other sites is not what most of us look for, something that shows origionality is far more rewarding to view.

* Any site that does not allow a child to view it is OUT! If I have to close off your site when my 8 yr old daughter comes into the room then I don't want to view it either.

* Be Fair! by that I mean.... we all love our chosen state, but we all live in Australia and every state has something different to offer so if I see your site and it puts down the rest of Australia or a particular part of Aus then I feel it is biased and will not take any more time to view your site.

* Make it easy to navigate, not everyone has the know-how to move to a different section in a site, so please add a link back to the Home/Index page plus a link to the next page or previous page that is easy to follow. If a new page (your other Link/s) open in a new window it would be nice to let your visitors know that it does and can be closed without losing the origional page.

* Advertising (on free sites) is a way of life, be it a pop-up add, pop-under add, most people can understand that BUT enforced adding/downloads are intrusive! (Comet curser is one example) If you have a program embedded that asks the viewer if they wish (or need) to download 'whatever' then I am out of there very quickly! I hate them and I know others do too.

* Heavy graphic sites that take too long to load are a bit of an off-put, I know I have a download limit on my ISP so I need to be wary. IF you have a site that is loaded with a lot of graphics and take time to download/view I would appreciate knowing beforehand so I can set the time aside to view it and enjoy it. OR why not set (what you can) as a thumbnail view and we have the choice to view the full image if we want?

* Copyright is important! We have all visited sites and seen something we would love for our own site, if the creator is in agreeance for it to be used then you MUST link back to that person/site if you use it.

* If your site is not in English please give the viewer the option of an english site translation.

* One last request, if you receive an award from me, please link back to my site so others can apply. I also have a Logo you can use if you wish and link from that. Thanks :-)

There you go..... only a few guidelines and not too tough I hope :-)
If there are any queries please
Email me and I am sure we can work out something.
