Howdy,

Welcome to Beardance's home page. As you
can tell from my name, I love to dance and I consider myself a bear. You
can judge the latter for yourself by looking at my pic here.

As for dancing, I like just about all kinds, whether ballroom,
square, round, line, country, folk. I especially like Scottish Country
Dancing, and am a life member of the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
(My branch membership is with the San Francisco Branch, where else.) |
| I'm an avid reader, and will read just about anything I can get
my hands on. Current favorites are Mark Doty's Heaven's Coast, Peter
J. Gomes' The Good Book, Neale Donald Walsch's Conversations
with God (Books 1, 2, and now 3), and J-F Revel's The Philospher
and the Monk. All time favorites include Dan Millman's Way of the
Peaceful Warrior and in fact anything by Dan Millman, Albert Camus'
Noces, Annie Dillard's Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, and The
New English Bible. Two books you simply have to read are The Best
Little Boy in the World and The Best Little Boy in the World Grows
Up. These were both written by Andrew Tobias, but the first was originally
published under the pseudonym John Reid. Again, these two books are MUST
reading, as is Don Clark's Loving Someone Gay. |

This bear loves the outdoors, which is why he lives in Grizzly territory--Montana.
Favorite activities include camping, sailing, windsurfing, canoeing, cross-county
skiing, getting out on my mountain bike, and just being out in the woods
or on some body of water. |
| My dream date would be a weekend camping on some mountain lake where
we could swim, fish, canoe during the day, and explore each others' minds
and bodies in front of a campfire at night. I'm incurably romantic, and
expect everyone else to be as well, which often leads to disappointments
in this very real world. |

My constant companions are four Miniature Pinschers named Speedy, Faylene, Rocky and Minnie (also known as Eve of Destruction). Speedy has his own page, as well as a page devoted to links that will take you to other MinPin sites. To
get there, click here. As you can see in this photo taken in Montana's
Bitterroot Mountains, he's quite a handsome fellow. |
| I'm new to web pages and site editing, so this page needs a lot
of help, but as I learn, the page will change and grow. Please drop me
a note with any suggestions or
just to begin a chat. And if you're headed Montana way, look me up. My
cave's usually available for travelling bears and their ilk. |
