| A sister's Cry | ||||||||||||
| Today my sister made a cry Heartache flowing from a tearful eye Whatevers the matter, I questioned She didnt reply And sent me out in a discourteous scatter I hang by the door With a watchful ear Listening to my sister pour Out her pain as tears Oh! How I want to be a comfort To my weeping sister Wipe away her tears And her fears Again I go Into the room once more My sister lowers her head And stares to the floor I put an arm around My sweet, sweet sister While she wears a gloomy frown And I soothe her hair of silky brown A kiss to the forehead Should do the trick No words needed Silence extremely thick Sitting in silence My sister and I Sniffling nose And a tender cry My sister looks up at me With tears streaming down her face And in a shaking voice said How I want to Go to a happy place! At this time I wonder What my sister means As her tear drops fall Onto her faded jean Daddy She says Nothing more Nothing less Understanding? I try my best Daddy She says again Through clenched teeth Oh daddy, Oh daddy Is such a beast In time little sister You will see How daddy Can stoop to an incredible degree Head lowered again Bedroom door undone There stands daddy Its my turn The capture is done Back to my sister I go I lay on her chest Listening to the flow She whisperers In my ear No one can ever know As we lay in tears A steady flow Again she whisperers No one can ever know |
