My sons, Hunter & Cole......

HOME JUSTIN Hunter & Cole Tyler & Bailey KIDS BLOG

These are my two sons, Hunter & cole. They are children from my first marriage. They are absolutely wonderful kids! Here's a little more information about them......

Hunter

Hunter is my first born child. He was born in January, 2000. His birthday was only 2 days before my 24th birthday. He was a very active baby during my pregnancy. He was always moving, day and night. That should have been an indication of what was to come, LOL. He's a very active child! Hunter was taken home two and a half days after he was born. That day was during the big ice storm in 2000! All of the highways were closed. He was born at WK-Bossier, and I-220 was the only major road that was still open. So, we had a way home. There were many mothers that were stranded at the hospital with their new babies. There was no way for them to get home. When Hunter's father went out to pull the car around to the hospital door, he realized that the car wouldn't start. There we sat, me in a wheelchair and Hunter in his carrier, at the back door. Finally, after an hour, a security guard helped us warm up and recharge the battery. We got in the car and Hunter immediately started screaming. I have a feeling that he was hungry by the time we got on the road. The car kept stalling on the way home. I think we had to have it "jumped" three times. The whole time, Hunter is still screaming. It was a very adventurous day! I forgot to mention that he came home on my birthday. Happy Birthday me! So, I had dinner waiting, that my family had cooked, when we got home. It was a nice surprise. Plus, I had some help b/c I was a nervous wreck by then.

Although Hunter cried a lot the first few days of his life, he was a wonderful baby. He was always happy and extremely smart! We knew by the time he was 9 months old that he was gifted. He just knew things that babies didn't know. He said his ABC's by 12 months! He was also talking in full sentences by then. That's something that most 2 or 3 year olds can't even do. Hunter has been a wonderful child! I couldn't ask for anything more! Although he was diagnosed with ADHD during his Kindergarten year, he has handled it very well (with only a few exceptions). I'm very proud of him!

Here are some facts about Hunter:
  • 8 years old
  • 2nd grade at Sun City
  • Makes straight A's

Cole

Cole was born in February, 2003. From the very beginning, I knew that he had a different personality than Hunter. While I was pregnant with Cole, he didn't move nearly as much. He was a calm "unborn child". However, the day we took him home from the hospital, "all hell broke lose"! LOL! He ended up having colic 24/7. We really struggled for the first 3 months of his life. We constantly had to have help and take shifts while he cried. I felt so bad for him. I'm just thankful that he was our second child b/c we had a little more experience. It did help. When Cole outgrew his colic, he was an absolutely wonderful toddler! He's very energetic! He likes to climb and get into every possible thing he can! One thing that everyone thinks is funny is that if you leave food or drinks within site or smell of Cole, they will be gone! Even if we're in a restaurant, he'll eat off other people's plates. For example, one day we went to Chick-Fil-A. I was talking to another parent. I looked up a few seconds later only to see Cole sitting at another persons table (they were away in the play area), eating their chicken nuggets. I couldn't help but laugh. I just offered to pay for the people's food. They ended up thinking it was funny though. I do get on to him about it, but he's just being Cole. He gets up in the middle of the night and gets into the refrigerator and cabinets. I've put locks on all of them, but he's so strong that he's ripped all of the locks out of the wood. LOL! He's just a growing boy! He's my little man! Here are some facts about Cole:
  • 4 years old
  • Is in Preschool
  • He's very curious and very active!
