All of our friends were so happy to be back at school today after so many home days. Some popular choices were Sponge Painting, the Binomial Cube & the Metal Insets. We also had a visit from a young canadian woman, Miss Rebecca who will be spending some time with us every now and then. Friends were so happy to introduce themselves to her and to ask her for help when they needed any.
For his leader day, Phillip brought in some grapes to share with his friends. For his Show-n-Tell, he brought the book Alice in Wonderland and showed a few pictures to his friends.
Note to parents:
Please make sure to check in your child's backpack or lunchbox for the followings:
- Some information on tonight's very special Parents Association Meeting.
- The forms for the upcoming School Picture, scheduled to take place on Monday 8 November. Those forms need to be returned on Thursday!

Hello everyone,
Today was a busy day in our classroom. We started our day with a circle and Miss Jessica read You Silly Goose by Ellen Stoll Walsh. We then had a big classroom project going on: all of our friends got together to make a big Get Well Soon card to Andrew's cousin who was recently in a car accident.
We then had music with Miss Ellen and sang a lot of songs about bears and hibernation.
For his Show-n-Tell, Andrew shared a tower with his friends.
Have a great rest of the day!

Good afternoon!
Today we had a very exciting day. Lisa Morris (the mom of Ethan from Miss Megan & Miss Frans classroom) was in today and took us on a nature walk. We found bird, squirrel and chipmunk nests.  We learned about various trees and theirs leaves, about berries, etc. Please find a picture attached!
For her leader day, Clare brought in her brothers plant. She explained to us how he planted an apple seed in soil and how it sprouted. All the children loved it and we decided to do the same in our classroom. On Monday, can you please have your child bring in some apple seeds so that we can do a little gardening in our classroom. Clare also brought in the book The Story of Johnny Appleseed, written and illustrated by Aliki and we started reading it during circle and finished it during lunch.
For snack, she brought in some apples.
Reminder to parents:
Picture day is Monday!  Please send back the envelope you were provided with your payment if you want you child's individual picture to be taken.
We are looking forward to seeing you all at our schools FUNdraiser tomorrow (details to be found in the newsletter that was sent home today!)
Have a great weekend!

Good afternoon,
We had a great day at the treehouse today. We started with a circle and had a group lesson on The Smelling Bottles. We also learned how to say good morning in French and are hoping to learn to say that word in many other languages really soon! During work time, friends chose works such as the Yellow Knobless Cylinders, the Sandpaper Leaf, and the November Calendar.
During our second circle, we talked about community helpers and read the book Career Day by Anne Rockwell. Then the children took turn talking about what they would like to be when they grow up: we had a couple of animal doctors, a dentist, a firefighter, a police man, a builder, etc. I guess everyone wants to be a community helper when they grow up!
For her leader day, Lily brought some bananas to share with her friends and for her Show-n-Tell, she brought a rain stick.
After lunch, we took a short walk to the Shaw Park to have our class picture taken.
Have a great rest of the day!
