Today we were busy working throughout the classroom. Many friends were busy with art, the Tracing Names work and Practical life activities.
Lily was the leader of our classroom and she brought in a piano for her Show-n-Tell.
In circle, friends were very eager to share stories so we took turn holding the sharing heart and telling one story to everyone.

Busiest day ever!  We began our day with a short work time. We had a circle and learned one more greeting: now friends can choose to greet everyone in English, French, Spanish or Russian!
Then Miss Megans classroom came over for the very first time as we had a special visitor: Rama, Sruti's mom, is a Geologist and she came to tell us all about rocks and about what geologists do. She even gave everyone a little bag of rocks!
Next, Nathan's mom Susan and brother Jonah came in and talked to us about Hanukah and the meaning behind the Menorah and oil. After she set up a latke making station in the coatroom and everyone had a turn helping and seemed to really enjoy it.
Both classrooms went to the playground and we all came back right on time to have our classrooms formal lunch. Some friends sat in Miss Rebeccas circle while she was reading Night Noises by Mem. Fox while others were setting up the tables. When everybody finished their healthy lunches, some friends chose to have one latke with applesauce.

We started our day with a group lesson on the Long Red Rods given by Miss Jessica. All the friends were observing very quietly and noticed how the longer rods were making a little noise when being put back on the shelf while the shorter ones were so quiet!
Then we had music with Miss Ellen and sang many songs about the holidays! All the friends were given a couple of bells that they could jingle while singing... well, I am sure you can guess which song I am talking about!! For snack, we had grapes!
Note to parents: Our Parent Holiday Party is taking place tomorrow Friday at the Cohen's.  There was an evite (invitation by email) that was sent out to most families.  If you did not receive an invitation by email, please let me know so that I can forward your email address to Kelly Cohen.  Thank you!!

What a very busy day today! Friends had the best working time, choosing so many different works: Tracing Names, the Continent Map, Pouring and Scooping, Pressing Sponges, etc. Some friends also gave Miss Jessica and I the opportunity to give lessons on Cleaning on Large Wet Spill and Cleaning a Large Dry Spill  .
During circle, Jake shared a radio. We also read The Peace Book by Todd Parr.
For snack, we ate grapes.
Hope to see you all tonight at our Parents' Holiday Dinner!

Today was an Art Day in our classroom. We used wrapping paper and sticks and glue and made snow men all morning long! At the end of work time, everybody helped cleaning up!
For snack, we had bananas!
For Show-n-Tell, Phillip shared the book Mister Seahorse by Eric Carle.
