Members
Well the member list is kind of short, well actually it is at zero right now. We can't have official members until we have our first meeting. There is a membership fee that is due (see the Constitution page). The people that want to join the club should contact me through email. There has already been some responses, so we do have some temporary members right now. These temporary members are listed below.
Members of the Mississippi State University Chess Club
- Craig Saurage, President
- Ronald Taylor, Advisor
- Sudharsun Jagannathan
- Ravi Srirangam
- Brent Quigley
- Christopher James (Bodhi)
- Chris Elkins
Members of the Mississippi State University Chess Club will be able to pay a discount entree fee for the tournaments that are put on by the club. Most entree fees will be 5 dollars for non-members and 2 dollars for members. We will have some special tournaments, which yield prize money for the first second and third place finishers. These tournaments will have a higher entree fee of 10 dollars for non-members and 5 dollars for members. In addition, members of the Chess Club will be informed of chess events on and off campus. In order to become a member just attend one of the regular scheduled meetings (Thursdays room 309 of the Union from 6pm-10pm) and sign the membership form. In order to become a member of the Mississippi State University Chess Club a $2.50 fee will have to be collected for every semester you wish to be a member. Our club is non-profit so all fees (tournament and membership) will go into building the club or issuing prize money. We hope that you will come out and see what our club has to offer.
