Observations of Research
and said findings conducted
of the Kuiper belt

It has long been theorized that the outer reaches of our solar system contains a ring of ‘debris’ very similar to the ring between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. A collection of planetesimals of which Pluto, and its companion Charon, are only the largest of.
This ring of debris, or ‘belt’ [which was named after Gerald P. Kuiper, a planetary scientist of the mid-20th century], had only just been researched towards the end of the 20th century due to the fact that telescopes powerful enough had not yet existed.
But with the spaced based telescope, the Hubble, objects a mere 12 to 20 kilometers across have been found to exist in an area that may be 500 times greater than the distance between the earth and the sun [or 4.7e+10 miles], and contain as many as 200 million such similar objects.
It is believed that the Oort cloud contains similar types of comet like debris [most notably, comet Halleys], but at a distance a thousand times that of the Kuiper belt observations are not possible. However, the findings made are important in that they give clues as to where asteroids traveling towards the earth may originate.
Further updates into current research will be provided, as such becomes available.
Normality of the Universe
A treatise by:

In an effort to understand what is considered the ‘normal’ condition of the universe, current research is being conducted in an attempt to decipher images received from the Hubble space telescope. These images seem to suggest that bright, well-defined elliptical and spiral galaxies [to which our galaxy belongs] are not the norm.
The information suggests that irregularly shaped ‘blue’ objects to be the majority, and are most common in an area three to eight billion light years distant. This corresponds to a period when the universe was approximately half its age.
What has been discovered thus far, is that, within this region still exist infant stars and other anomalies inconsistent with current thought.
Further observations and updates will be provided, as they become available.
