I came to earth on the 24th of June 1983. I was supposed to come out on the 1st of July but my mother just wanted me out A.S.A.P.! I'm the second and last child in my family. I have an older sister Melanie who is 2 years older than me. My father is a banker. My mother was an administrative officer in a local University. She has now retired.
Initially, my family and I stayed in United Garden together with my grandparents, uncles, and aunties. Later in 1993, my family and I moved to a suburb named Bangsar. I encountered some problems in fitting into to a totally new environment at first, especially at school. It was rather a rough time for me. Looking back, I laugh at how foolish I use to be. At Bangsar I attended primary school at Sekolah Kebangsaan Bukit Bandaraya. After completion of education in primary level, I then attended secondary school in Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Bukit Bandaraya.
I was known to be a quiet and shy boy then. I joined my SCF (Schools Christian Fellowship) in Year 1. That was when I became a guitar enthusiast. Soon, I started playing the guitar for my SCF. I took the role as a class monitor in Year 2. I enrolled myself in badminton training at that tender age. The following year I joined the Prefectorial Board as one of the Maintenance Officers. At the same time I became more active in my SCF and started leading the group in Ice-breakers and in Praise and Worship. My duties and responsibilities didnt stop there. In Year 4 I was promoted. In the Prefectorial Board, I was accepted a role that needed trust and dedication to the board. I was the boards Treasurer. The work load was time consuming as it required a lot my concentration on the figures. In the SCF, I was chosen to be the CG (Care Group) Leader. I was involved in planning and managing a group of 15 members. In the same year, I represented my school as a Defender in the Water Polo Team. We managed to win the Bronze medal after tough fights with other school teams in the KL region. We were nearly disqualified from the games when one of our strikers got into a fight with another player from another team. In Year 5 the following year, we fought with a stronger spirit. We took home the Silver medal. In the same year, I took the role as the President in the SCF. I had a fun time serving my SCF.
After completing my education in secondary school, I took a 5 month break from my studies. In those 5 months I volunteered myself to help out in a Christian Organization. SUFES (Scripture Union & Fellowship of Evangelical Students) took me in to do their administrative and as well as their field work. I did all sorts of odd jobs there. I gained experience in being the telephone operator, secretary, typist, stock keeper, labour worker, printer and designer of event handouts, and even as a leader in songs and games! I can say that it was the most beneficial and pleasurable time of my life! Soon, I had to wave goodbye to SUFES because I had to give my attention to my studies.
I entered HELP Institute in May 2001. I enrolled in a Pre-University Matriculation Course in Information Technology. The matriculation program took me 8 months to complete it. Upon completing my Pre-University Program, I am doing something new offered by HELP known as DITE (Diploma in Information Technology and Engineering). Im under University of Queenslands 2+1 Degree Program. I hope to enter University of Queensland in my final year. I will do my best, for only God knows what lies ahead of me
To GOD Alone BE The GLORY!
