History of the
Maple Shade Rescue Service, Incorporated
From the Maple Shade Fire Dept 3 members  Albert Allen, Gerald Dilmore, and Herbert Teeple formed
the Maple Shade Rescue Service Inc. on June 6,1958. Operating from a home  they began operations
with a
car towing a trailer that carried miscellanous equipment. Other members joined and with help from
the Township of Maple Shade and the  community we built our
first Station at 277 W Linwood ave.
in 1964 it was a 1 Bay  Building with aMeeting/Class Room , Kitchen ,and a Restroom . it served our Unit for years until we recieved our first new truck's in 1974   and we needed more Room  to park them  so we Expanded Our
Building  by adding on to the front and side of the existing  Building and added a Garage in the Back  in the early 1980's and served us well untill we had a fire that destroyed the Building  on November 9, 2001 and was rebuilt  in the same Location as a one level   Building. Construction was  compleated   October 23,2004
