SUPER BOWL XXXVIII: Indian Freak/Patriots WIN!

The Indian Freak wins his 2nd Super Bowl, as the Patriots squeak by the Panthers in what ranks as one of the greatest Super Bowl games ever.  He gets $100 and free entry to MSP NFL 2004.  Congratulations to the Freak.  See you next season.

Playoff Prize Addition / Details

As always, the top 12 seeds make the playoffs with the top 4 seeds getting a bye week during the Wild Card Round.  After each round the players will be reseeded (i.e. the highest seed always plays the lowest seed).  For more playoff rules click on the link above for "Playoff Rules".  The winner of the Super Bowl wins $100 and free entry to next year's pool.  

One thing that I've always hated is that the lower seed in the Super Bowl, doesn't take part in picking the winner.  This year I'm making a slight rule change to get the lower seed involved.  Each player will submit their Super Bowl pick.  If both players pick the winning team, I will award a 2nd free entry to the lower seed.  If both players choose the losing team, the lower seed wins the $100 and the free entry while the higher seed gets NOTHING.  Both players will be ridiculed publicly on this website.  The last 3 Super Bowl winners have been the lower seed have won due to the higher seed making the wrong pick.  I know for a fact that in Super Bowl XXXVI, the TC Raiders would have taken St. Louis, but won due to Flashy making the wrong pick.  

Next season, free entries will only be awarded for correct Super Bowl picks.  The rule for the prize money (based on the higher seed's POW) will remain the same.
