the Sorority of the Year award at UW-River Falls during Greek Week!

AOII Days Committee
Help plan this New Innovative collegiate/Alumnae event for next spring by contacting one of the committee members.

We have 3 people on the committee so far but could use some more:

Lisa Bye Scherber (alumna)
Lisa Folta (alumna)
Rachael Uppgaard (from Tau Chapter)

Alumnae Dues are due and we are having a BIG SALE.
Dues are $50 per year or you can pay the bargain price of $95 for two years along with the comfort of not having to worry about it for two years. Also, get a FREE directory of all AOII who live in the metro area.

Dues are due by October 1st. (This is earlier than past years but will allow us to concentrate on dues paying members for events and mailings.)

Our fiscal year is July 2005 to June 2006. Of course First year seniors get their dues free for one year! Our expenses are $2000-3000 per year.

Your dues go to support:
· International dues and support for our staff person, archiving, and leadership institute/convention ($25).
· Newsletters and communications.
· Alumnae events.
· Alumnae Panhellenic dues.
· Philanthropic events and contribution to the foundation (suggested $5 per person)
· Collegiate Support for both Tau and Kappa Sigma chapter.
· Send our official delegate to convention and Leadership Institute.
· Printing and distribution of our directory. FREE to dues paying members!

Our required fees to IHQ were increased from $19 to $25 this year, resulting in our having to increase our dues also. We regret having to do this and hope that you feel that you can continue to support our efforts.

To pay your dues Send your check made out to AOII for $50 one year or $95 two years to:

Address Updates: Please send all address, phone, and email updates to Pam Morrison. She will update our local records and send it on to IHQ. Please help AOII save money! Each issue of To Dragma that is returned to us due to an incorrect address costs the Fraternity $0.70 in addition to the original cost of mailing. If you are moving or changing your name, please notify us in advance. To update your contact info at IHQ email [email protected]

National Arthritis Walk Committee:
In developing a nationwide team recruitment action plan, the national Arthritis Walk Committee is seeking an AOII volunteer to assist with team recruitment by encouraging the formation of local walk teams through companies where AOIIs or their spouses are employed. If you know an AOII who may be interested or have questions about this collaboration, please contact Grace Day (AOII Foundation Assistant Director).

New IHQ Site:
Check out the new IHQ website. It knows your collegiate chapter, alumnae chapter and other associations you might want to set up. Shop online at the Emporium! Check it out

Tau Chapter 100 year History:
Wilma Smith Leeland wrote the 75 year history of Tau Chapter published in 1987. The Alumnae Association is looking for a group of people who will update the next 25 years in time for the 100 year celebration in 2012! We need researchers, pictures, and writers. To join this fun committee contact Chris Berquist or Georgia Gould-Lyle and we can get started!

Looking for Family Info :
It has been suggested that we trace our big/little sisters and family tree back as far as we can go. I for one would love to know if I have a little, little, little etc. sister at the house right now. Anyone interested in doing Kappa Sigma? Tau? This would be a long term, low time commitment sort of thing. Perhaps someone has genealogy software? Please contact Chris Berquist if interested.

Tau Corporation News: Every time you drive past or visit our beautiful Tau Chapter House, you should feel proud you are an AOII. Built in 1929 it is considered a "gem" on the U of M campus by architectural historians. A long line of forward-thinking sisters provided us not only with our chapter house, but a reputation for sound fiscal responsibility, and a legacy of leaders. Tau chapter can take pride in knowing that five international presidents came from Tau.

In order to continue offering these opportunities to present and future sisters, we must do our part as alumna, to maintain what was set in place. We need your contribution to our Building Restoration Fund, to keep the house attractive and structure safe and sound.

Please do your part. Send your contribution to:
