| I would like to start off by welcoming you to my rpg. It is called Mobile Suit Gundam: Year of Conflict. It takes place in the One Year War after Operation Odessa which in this rpg caused a stall in the war due to the fact both sides took major damage in the battles that make up Operation Odessa. Also Amuro and Char where killed the battle. It is pretty sure that Amuro is dead but no one ever saw the body of Char. You know the story. Well this page has been dedicated to the rules so sit back and read. The Rules that are Standard: 1) The first rule you should be aware of is that there will be no racism, sexism, religious, foul etc... language in the rpg. I will allow you to do it somewhat in roleplaying. Out side of roleplaying it will be met with severe penalties. 2) I may make mistakes now and then and alot of times it will be up to you to point these out to me. The nicer you are about it when you tell me the more likely you will like how I will fix it. If you are rude about it you won't like what happens. You can either tell me about in the chat, on the Question board, or over email which ever is easier for you to do. Also I would like it if you didn't argue about the outcomes of battles. If you felt that I forgot something in the battle or whatever you can bring that to my attention but as soon as you start arguing I will either take away vp or just expell you from the rpg. Simple as that. 3) Stay active. If you can't for a specific reason like you have to go somewhere for a week or more let me know on the main board. Otherwise you will be removed from the rpg. 4) No non-human pilots. Like come on a monkey can't pilot a mobile suit. And neither can a haro so don't even try. If I see this happen I will remove you or just delete the email. Easy as that. 5) This is the most important rule of them all. You must have fun. If you can't then why did you even join? Things that happen in the rpg should stay there. Thus no hacking of other peoples computers because you are angry over something they did to you. Updating and Emailing: This rpg will be updated every week day. That is Monday to Friday. The time I must get your actions in by is 4:00 pm Pacific Time. Thats 7:00 pm Easter Standard time. I will then begin updating a half hour after that. I will do that because some of you my become late or something getting home or on to a computer and thus I give an extra half hour but try not to use that time too much. While I am doing the update to ask me every five minutes when I am going to be done because you will lose 10 vp every time you do. Unlike alot of games on the net to do your actions you must send them in over email. Try for only one email a day please and thank you. Though if you do have a good reason I can be understanding. Also for the email titles do this: Suit Name - Action - Date. This is so I have an idea on what it is. The email address for the rpg is [email protected]. Thats .ca and not .com. Make sure you got that right otherwise I will never see the email. The Simple Actions: Here is a list of all the simple actions. There usually will be more you can do in a simple action but that will be explained. Movement: This is where you tell me where you want to move to. Like say you are on the moon and what do go to Earth so you just say "I would like to move to Earth please." Movement is measured in days. As in how many days it will take you to get there. The lowest amount of travel time you can do is 1 day. Unless for some reason I move you some where instantly but that is only under my control. With a ship or something you can shorten travel time. Also to move from the Earth's Surface to space it will take one day and you will have to move to a base with a spaceport unless you have a ship or something else that can reach space on its own. This is because it takes alot of thrust to reach space. Battle: This is where you attack something or are attacked. It will be writen by a battle writer and then posted in either the battles page or the Events page. Usually when someone Role Plays before the battle it usually effects the battle but alot of times people just attack others with out any reason other than they can. Also a person can say whether he wants to kill someone or not. Usually you don't have to say this because usually it just takes common sense like if you are having a battle with someone from the other side you will try to kill them and vice versa the other way. Purchases: This is where you buy stuff from the shop or other people. You must have the math in your email so I can see that you have the right amount. I will check you math so don't try sneaking something into it. I frown on this but can't do anything more than just not add it to its page. Also you have to have a place to put this purchase. Like for mobile suits you need a ship, installation or a MS Team to put them. Role Playing: This is where you role play you character on the role playing board. This can earn you better ranks, stuff or your upgrade earlier. Also with Role Playing you can make you character feared or respected by the other side. Sometimes during a major event I will stop at certain points for you to decide on how to handle a certain situation and that will effect a battle. Battles: Here is a list of the different type of battles you can do: Ambush: This is the most common and most basic type of battle. Basically you just jump out and attack someone from the other side. Usually the attacker can expect low damage while the defender can sometimes gain heavy damage. The vp gain for this type of battle is low. Also if you have a weapon that has a long range you can fire it off at the enemy and the target can't do a thing about. Duel: This battle is when a single person challenges another person to a fight that has a chance for high damage. Also groups of people can face another group of people. This can also be made into a death match. This battle type is the only one that you can have with the same side as you and have the other person as your opponent unless you decide to have a contest out of an event battle. Also if you are ambushing a person that is also ambushing you it will turn into a duel. The damage level in this is usually moderate to high and the vp gain is moderate. Event: This battle covers any major battle, fleet actions or installation attacks. You will find yourself having trouble in this unless you lay out a battle plan. Usually battle plans aren't needed for the first two types of battles but it is needed here. Also you may want to have more than just yourself in this kind of battle. The potential for damage in this type of battle is high but so is the vp gain. Optional Armament: Alot of mobile weapons have alot of weapons and most of these can't be carried so you should choose which weapons you want to take with you into the battle. Unless you want me to choose. Which means you can enter a battle with just ammo drums or clips as your weapons. Also note that the more weapons you carry with you has to be stored somewhere and this also adds weight so you may not want to take alot of weapons in certain battles. Also some mobile weapons have armor and what not that can be added to the mobile weapon. I won't put that on unless you ask me to. Also there are core fighters in some of the mobile suits and thus if you want you can go into a battle as that. Some mobile suits may also have a mode like say a fighter mode that they can change into. If you want to start out as that in the battle please let me know. Sides And Divisions: Earth Federation: After the past months of war the Earth Federation's military is just getting used to using mobile suits in combat. But most of its forces are either veterans from battle, freshly recruited or fresh from the academy. Against the more battle harden and elite Zeon military they are more used to ground based battle which means even thoughs who are in the space forces will still have some skill while under gravity. This also causes some problems due to the fact that most of the EF forces stationed in space tend not to think in the 3D. Ground Forces(EFGF): This EF Division is the best at ground warfare. They get a bonus to battle while on Earth. They also seem to lag behind most of the other Divisions in space combat but this doesn't seem to bother them in the least as the continue to battle Zeon forces. They start out with the normal 500,000 credits and start out with 5 VP. Their starting position is at any of the EF bases on Earth. Space Forces(EFSF): This division has been specially trained in space combat. These pilots started out piloting the Saberfish so combat isn't unknown to them but due to heavy losses they don't have many veterens but the ones that have survived have earned names for themselves(If your profile turns out well for this division you will gain an extra +5 vp due to your experience in the war so far.). You start out with 10 VP and get the standard 500,000 credits. Also you will start out either in Earth orbit or at one of its installations in space. Officer Corps: The people who make up this division are the ones who command the EF forces. The start out at a higher rank and thus get paid higher than the normal grunts. The EF Officer Corps have so far remained on side lines and thus haven't as much experience in combat and thus don't start with any VP. They start out with the standard 500,000 credits. They can start at any EF installation or in Earth Orbit. Duchy of Zeon: After the failed attack on Odessa by the Earth Federation, the Zeon military has found itself lacking forces to continue the attack and have gone on the defensive. Allowing the EF to regroup but luckily for Zeon their forces are still more skilled in mobile suit combat and still vastly out number their enemy. Due to their space origin Zeon forces have some skill in space combat no matter what their division is. Also Zeon pilots have more combat experience in mobile suit combat. Ground Forces(ZGF): This division have taken spacenoids and recruits from Earth and trained them for ground combat. Although they aren't as skilled as the EFGF pilots they tend to be more battle hardened. They receive a combat bonus while battling on earth. They start out with 8 VP and start with the standard amount of credits. They can start off at any Zeon base on Earth. Space Forces(ZSF): This division is Zeon's best division due to the fact that they excell at space combat due to their origins in space. They were the first to pilot mobile suits into combat and they were the first to draw blood with them. They have a combat bonus for battles in space and in colonies. They start out with 15 VP. They also start out with the standard amount of credits. They can start in any Zeon Installation that is in space and the can start in Side 3. Officer Corps: This division is the division that commands the vast Zeon military. For the most part the Zeon Officers have fought beside the soldiers under their command and have some skill in mobile suit piloting unlike the EF officers. They start out at a higher rank than the other two divisions. They also start out with 5 VP. They get the standard starting amount of credits and can start out on any of the Zeon installations or in Side 3. Rank and Pay: In this rpg everyone starts out with the same pay but will earn promotions in rank which in turn gives you more pay through roleplaying and good actions and plans in attacks. The ranks below will work for both sides. Private(starting rank for the space and ground forces) - 50,000 credits Ensign(starting rank for the officer corps) - 100,000 credits Lt. Junior Grade - 150,000 credits Lieutenant - 200,000 credits Lt. Commander - 250,000 credits, plus 1 x cruiser or carrier Commander - 300,000 credits Captain - 350,000 credits Vice Admiral - 400,000 credits, plus 1 x battleship or 2 x cruiser or carrier Admiral - 500,000 credits Fleet Admiral(In Command of all your sides forces) - 2,000,000 credits, plus 1 x super battleship Note: The ships I will be the final judge on what you will get. Damage, Repairs and Upgrades: In this rpg you receive in combat will be measured in days. This is because that is how long it will take you mobile suit to repair. At the end of each day you will have one day taken of the repair time and this means that if you have 1 day left you can't make repairs that day but the next day. Now the max amount damage a mobile suit can receive is 5 days before it is destroyed. Repairs can be reduced if you are in an installation and this is by half but the lowest you can go is 1 day. Now when a mobile suit reaches six days of repairs it becomes destroyed and you have to wait the total six days for the suit to be remade. This can't be lowered. Now sometimes you will die. All this means is that your pilot is dead and you can't do actions for six days except for send in a name for the replacement pilot. This most be done in the six days of death time or won't be able to do action untill you do to a total of 10 days and then you will be removed. Now when you gain enough vp you become to good for you mobile weapon like what happens through the gundam series with Amuro and Char. Thus you go out and get you mobile weapon destroyed and it will start upgrading. This will take 8 days. There is no lowering this amount. Also it will come earlier if you roleplay. Fleets: To make a fleet you have to have 2 or more ships. Then you email me telling me you want to make a fleet. This email must include the fleets name These ships have to be owned by only you as well. This stops fights from happening among people making joint fleets. Which to mean is a pointless headache. The reason to make a fleet is that each ship in it will work with the other ship/s in it and make them stronger in a group than they would be alone. With a fleet you can blockade a colony cluster or a planet which includes the moon. You also can lay a siege on an installation. Capturing Territory and People: First off you can only capture a colony cluster for territory and then it becomes open to all the members of your side and you it will raise the pay of everyone on your side by 50,000 credits. To do this you must remove all enemy installations and build three colonies with a base in one of the colonies. When this happens all of the forces that are in the colonies will attack anyone attacking an allied installation in the territory. Alos if someone builds an installation in the territory it will come under attack and will continue to be attack day after day until it is destroyed or captured. Also when the territory comes under you control an Allied fleet will be deployed to guard its borders. Thus when someone first enters the territory they must sneak or fight past the fleet. Now you can only capture a person when they attack an installation with a cellblock or they surrender. When this happens you can either hold them for a max of 10 days, torture them for information which will be roleplayed by you. Only the start. I will decide on how long it will take to crack the person or if you can. I will also give you the information over the email so only you will know but I will also tell the person captured what he said. From there it is up to how you tell people but unless you roleplayed it or they are a higher rank than you they can't roleplay their characters that they know. Also the captured pilot can't tell anyone untill he has either been freed or released. This doesn't mean that you can't talk about it to your friends in the rpg they just can't roleplay they know. The last but not least you can have the person killed. For the most part anyone captured by the EF will be treated better than those captured by the Zeon. Also the people captured by the EF have to be put through a trail which must be roleplayed by all parties involved. Now at anytime the captured pilot can try to escape. This can be risky due to the fact you can be killed in the attempt to get away. But more often than not you will just be recaptured. Now if you allies could stage a distraction your escape attempt might go by easier. Also you can be rescued. Mobile Suit Teams and Battle Groups: While on Earth you can make a mobile suit team by buying suits or support vehicles and having them move around with you.You don't have to name this but it helps during roleplaying if you do. You can only have a max of three other units with you. Now the Battle Groups are basically PC teams. You can have as many memebers as you want. Also your team will receive funding by your government depending on how good you team is and by how well known it is. So the more famed or feared you become the more money your team will have to spend. Other: The joining page will have everything you need to know about joining. So look there. Also if you think I have missed something just let me know and I will add. You may also get a prize for it. |
