"Reaching Drop Zone." says a voice in Lt.Commander Renault's head phones. "No sign of Zeon forces yet."
"Thanks. Proceed with mission." nods Renault. He looks over at the two other mobile suits in his group. Both GM Sniper II and both colored black like his own. "You two ready?"
They answer yes and he goes back to his own thoughts. They are intruded on as moon light floods into the small space in the Medea. A count down appears on his main monitor. When it reaches 15 seconds left the hover truck with the group slides out of the back of the plane. At 10 seconds left a GM Sniper II follows. And then at 5 seonds left the other GM Sniper II exits the plane as well. And finally Renault's GM flies out the back and into the night air. It only takes him a few seconds to fall into the clouds and the world around him quickly gets dark.
A few seconds later he is on the ground listen to the hover trucks traffic. Its signal he knows won't be heard by Zeon Com Scans. Except for a parachute getting caught in a tree the mission so far has been going by the numbers. He nods and watches as the two other mobile suits go off in different directions. His goes straight and heads towards the city that was said to be abandoned. After about an hours walk in the dark jungle and no Zeon sightings to show for it. Growing very uneasy by the minute he finally spots the city. He sets his mobile suit down into a laying position and begins to scan the area for signs of Zeon patrols. When the scan shows up with nothing even though he knows the range is limited due to the high minvsky particle level.
Opening a laser signal with the Type 74 he orders the hover truck to advanced and then set and take readings on the surrounding area. When it does he listens as the sonar officer tells that he can hear machinery but is unable to tell where it is coming from.
"City seems clear on the surface but other than that I can't tell." sighs the man. "Renault you might as well head in there and take a look around."
"Aye." answers Renault as he stands his mobile suit up. "Is unit two at the mountain yet?"
"No but he will be there as soon as you reach the city. Unit 3 is at the lake though and he is running scans on it but she doesn't think the Zeeks are there."
"Call them Spacenoids."
"Sorry forgot you were once a Zeon officer sir."
"No harm done."
He then turns off his laser communicator and looks around at the last trees before he enters the clearing that will take him to the empty city. A few minutes later he enters the very quiet city. He is thankful for is padded feet and and silenced joints. As he rounds a building he spots a red mono eye in a damaged building several blocks over. He curses and stops his movement. When he sees the eye look away he lowers his suit into a kneeling position. Due to his suits dark color the GM Sniper blends in with the shadows around it. He checks the minovsky reading and finds it very high.
"So thats why my sensors never alerted me to it." grunts Renault. He looks behind his suit and finds buildings blocking his path for communication with the hover truck. "Can't move so I can tell the others as well. Such good luck."
He brings up his beam rifle but doesn't try for a lock on or anything because he knows it will alert his presense quicker than if he just started firing off his weapons. He must wait for the Zeon mobile suit to leave before he can do anything but he also knows that the mobile suit won't move until first light he can't stay in this spot for that long. He has to do something. His only real hope is to kill the mobile suits pilot before he can do anything. He hopes that the man doesn't have some else nearby that might see his attack. Then as a grin forms on his face he gets his idea and aims all his weapons at the building around the enemy mobile suit.
"Good bye." laughs Renault as he fires.
Just as he fires the mobile suit spots him and brings up its own weapon but just as Renault hopes the building falls down on top of the Zaku and crushes it before it can fire or even call out for help. Renault thinking quickly runs two blocks over where he has clear sight of the jungle and opens a laser signal to the hover truck.
"The base is here in the city." yells Renault.
"Negative." responds the man. "The base is in the mountain side. Seconds after that building fell down Unit 2 came under fire. She is retreating but it is unknown whether she will escape."
No sooner had he said that shells began to fall around Renault and his mobile suit. He curses and makes a run for the forest but seconds before he makes it there a shadow falls over his mobile suit and he looks up to see a building falling down on him. As he cries out in curses his mobile suit disappears in the falling debris.

A Second Try
Ryan Mithaniel finds himself looking across a lake at the ship that he has already captured and lost shortly afterwards. His mobile suit although fully repaired feels to him like it still bares the scars from the battles that involved the ship. His face usually holds a smile but today his face only holds an expression determination. Armed with its shutgun he feels ready but this time he knows the cost the battle may cost.
"Even if it takes my life that ship will either fall or become the property of the Duchy of Zeon." vows Ryan as he looks over in the direction of his only Ally in this fight.
Even though he can't see the K�mpfer he knows that its power will help him now. He grunts and signals for the blue mobile suit to comense the attack. Seconds later he spots the mobile suit as it skims the surface of the water as it flies towards its target. Ryan nods and he goes into motion but soon finds him in the lake walking along its bottom. Above its surface the K�mpfer fires off a panzer faust at the Pegasus class ship. The rocket propelled grenade slams into one of the ship's doors that allow mobile suits or fighters to launch from the ship and seals it shut with the explosion.
Before it can attack anymore the ships weapons reach out and kiss the lakes surface around the K�mpfer with explosions and splashes. On cue the K�mpfer turns from its head on attack and blasts off towards the lake shore opposite the ship. The ship's captain enraged by the attack orders the ship to pursue the attacking zeek. As the ship moves over the position that Ryan is at he activates his mobile suits main thrusters and blasts out of the lake straight at the Paladin.
The bridge crew cries out in surprise as the Efreet once again settles near the bridge but the captain merely types a few commands into the controls on his seat and turns to face the Zeon mobile suit staring at his bridge.
"Surrender now Zeek scum." orders the Federation Captain.
"I think it is you who should surrender." replies Ryan as he aims his shotgun at the bridge. At this close range he knows the gun will destroy the bridge and those in it easily.
But then movement near him draws his attention. As he watches the ships main shell firing gun sets into position facing directly at him. Before he can move his shotgun to fire on the big gun it fires. For a half a second he thought it totally destroyed his mobile suit but lucky for him though it only destroyes his legs and sends him flying off of the Paladin. What he spots next turns his blood cold. Pointing at him and tracking his suits fall is one of the ships mega particle cannons. With out a second thought he pulls his suit's eject and finds himself shooting through the air away from his mobile suit and the ship about to kill his mobile suit.
As he jerked hard into his straps he saluted the Federation ship. "Beat again."
Then his suit disappears behind a strong energy blast. When it fades away his mobile suit is no more. But all isn't lost as a rocket propelled grenade slams into the mega particle cannon that destroyed his mobile suit. Then the K�mpfer appears and lands behind the bridge. Its pilot angered at the destruction of his commander's suit take his beam saber and shoves it into the ship's armor right below his feet. As the ship shudders from explosions the K�mpfer blasts away using the last of its fuel to land safely on the nearby shore. Then the ship explodes and Ryan now safely in the water dives under the water to escape the massive heat generated by the explosion.
A few minutes later he finds himself riding in the hand of the K�mpfer on its way back to Zeon controled territory. Ryan's thoughts are on his destroyed mobile suit and on the destruction of the ship that he allowed to escape his reach forever.
Outcome: Paladin destroyed
Efreet: Suit Destroyed, Upgrading for 8 days, 12 vp
Strikes Against The Federation.
As one the four ships that make up the Zeon fleet known as the 1st Zeonic Assault Fleet move through and over the jungle. The Big Tray seems out of place among the Zeon ships but it still gives off a sense of power. Inside the Zanzibar refit known as the Dark Knight the fleets highest ranking officers and other people that make up the main combatants of the feet meet in a well furnished room. Jynx Staff the fleet's commander stands in front of a holographic display stand. On the display is a map of a base and the area around it. For the most part the base looks like many other bases found on Earth but the fact that this base has a Big Tray and a damaged Pegasus class ship near its hangers alerts the people arrayed around the room that the base belong to the Federation and that it is near by.
A smile forms on Jynx's face as she looks around at her fellow Zeon soldiers. "Greetings. Today we are going to attack this base."
A snort from the back of the room draws Jynx's attention. The man who made the noise is sitting in a comfy looking black leather chair. She raises an eyebrow at him and he frowns in answer. "I don't think we have enough forces under our command to attack the base."
"No we don't but we have weapons and forces at our disposal that evens it out." sighs Jynx. She touches a button on the display and the image changes that to a form with all the information of what the Fleet has that it can use. "See. Most of our troops are more experience. We have more ships. And we have a few more gas canisters to through at the Federation. Plus we have someone on the inside."
She taps another control and the profile for Ryan Mithaniel appears. Lt. Junior Grade Ryan Mithaniel was captured yesterday and unless we free him he may find himself either killed or questioned. He may have secrets that we may not want the Federation to have."
"I agree." adds the Dark Rain's captain. "If he were to give say something like our commincation encryption codes and then they gain access to all our troop deployments and who knows what else."
"Exactly. Now we must attack today or it may be too late." says Jynx as she slams a fist in to her open hand. "Now for the plans...."

Inside his new cell at the Federation base Ryan Mithaniel wastes his time by throwing small rocks into his empty bottle of vodka that he smuggled with him into the cell. He found that he drank the bottle quickly and now several hours later he is in his cell bored out of his mind waiting for his pointless trail to decide if he should be killed. Ryan aleady knows the answer to that question.
"These Feddies are just morons. If they wanted to kill me why don't they just do it and forget about the waste of time that the trail will be." sighs Ryan as he flops back down on his cot. "I guess I shouldn't complain about the stupidity of the enemy."
Outside his cell two Federation soldiers appear. They look him up and down and both put their machine guns' straps over their shoulders and slide them behind them. Then one of them produce a set of keys for his cell from his belt while the other draws a hand gun. When the one with the keys opens the door the one with the gun enters the cell.
"So Gun they have decided to put me on trial now?" asks Ryan.
The soldier's only answer is a puzzled look at the name Ryan called him.
"You are holding the gun while your friend over there is holding the keys." answers Ryan.
"Oh." replies Gun simply.
"So Key you let your friend here do all the dirty work?"
"Shut up Zeek scum." answers the man with keys.
Following a gesture from Gun Ryan leaves the cell but stumbles when he sets foot out of the cell into Key. The man curses at Ryan and then punches him into the gut. Ryan falls to the ground as he tries to catch his breath but allows the two soldiers to lift him from the ground and begin draggin him out of the base's prison. As he finds himself outside Ryan grins to himself as he releases himself from his handcuffs. He then slips the pistol out of Key's holster and fires it into the man's chest before he can react. Gun drops Ryan but soon follows Key as Ryan twists before his the ground and fires two rounds in Gun's torso.
Ryan laughs and regains his feet and looks around and sees that no one noticed the escape. His question is answered as he hears gun fire to his right. He also sees a sign pointing the direction to a firing range. He shakes his head and slides the pistol into his pants and then he takes the two machineguns from the dead bodies. With a last look at the two bodies he heads in the direction of the nearest wall. Before he reaches sirens begin to blare. He curses as he realizes that the two dead soldiers have been found already but this false belief is shattered as he spots fighters beginning to fill the air.
"I think the attack has started." states Ryan of the obvious.

Outside the base the Federation fighters race towards the distant ships that appeared above the trees of the Asian jungle. Ahead of the fleet of ships the Federation fighters meet four Dopp fighters which are promptly shot down. Before the fighters can express their joy at such a victory they come under fire from the jungle. Half of the Tin Cods are cut down in a few seconds while only a quarter of the Jet Core Boosters are destroyed. Before these airplanes can fly away more of there number are destroyed, this time by energy. The aircraft themselves prove to be a useless defense but serve their purpose as the installation's mobile suit defenses are deployed through out its parimeter.
The installation's commander proves to be smart as he deploys a quadrio of sniper mobile suits bear the center of the base to open fire on the attacking ships. Only one sniper GM unit is able to fire its weapon as there world seems to explode. The one pilot to hear the shells to fall is the one who fires and his shot is only enough to damage one of the engines one of the Zeon Gaws. As it spits out smoke and fire the damaged Gaw goes for a landing on the ground to serve as a command post and to deploy its load of soldiers. The other Gaw remains in the sky as the Zanzibar releases its single remaining mobile suit towards the base that is a long ways away.
As her mobile suit flies through the air Jynx watches this all unfold with a sense of detachment. She grunts sadly to herself as the canopy of the jungle dives towards her. Her mobile suit's right hand that is holding a heat sword moves to the Gouf's chest. Its blade remaining in its blue color but can change to glowing red color at a moments notice. When her suit slams into the ground with her back thrusters only softening the landing enough to escape damage. As the Gouf's red mono comes alive it checks the forest around it for signs of Federation mobile suits but when it fails to spot any Jynx has it run forwards as she heads to the base.
Seconds after she start forwards two Guntank MPTs begin shelling her position with their cannon fire. They have no real hope at hitting the fast moving mobile suit but they do force her to keep forwards. She grunts but feels that the plan has been altered any and keeps forwards. As she nears the base though she flicks on her radio.
"Sweet Dreams I need a door." says Jynx with out a sign of emotion.
Ahead of her a GM and a Gundam move to block her path but their lives cease to exist as two massive energy blasts burn through them and open a massive hole in the wall and continues on its way through the base causing destruction and chaos. Before she reaches the hole though she blasts into the sky once more and jumps towards one of the Guntanks that were firing on her. The Guntank's escort of a gundam and two GM Ground types begin to fire on the Gouf. Their weapons fire either misses or is blocked by the Gouf's shield.
Jynx lands in front of a GM and shoots out her heat rod and disables the mobile suit and then with her suits massive strength throws it into the path of the weapons fire of the other GM and its Gundam partner. They loose sight of the Gouf as the GM their weapons fire accidently destroyed explodes. By the time they find her again she has shoved her heat sword into the chest of the Guntank. As it explodes the Gouf jumps again. This time towards the other Guntank. This one is guarded by a hover truck and a trio of tanks.
She shakes her head and lands on one of the tanks. As the other two open fire on her she easily dodges the slow attacks and comes under fire from the Guntank. She laughs as her mobile suit's armor blocks the weak shots for the suit's vulcan fire. This time though she wraps her heat rod around and insteat of using the rod's electrical setting she uses its heat setting and destroys the Guntank.

On foot Ryan sees the Gouf's actions and is amazed at the suits power as it blasts out of the base once again to reunite with the rest of its forces out side the base. He shakes his head and dives behind another builder as another soldier spots him and opens fire with his machinegun. Ryan just shakes his head and dives back around the corner. The soldier expecting Ryan to be higher fires off his gun into the area behind Ryan and before he can lower his gun to Ryan's new position Ryan fires his own machinegun in to the man's chest. With a grunt he gets back on his feet and runs over to the man who has a head set and the radio backpack on. He takes the two and continues on his way to the mobile suit hanger.
"This is Lt. Junior Grade Ryan Mithaniel to Fellow Zeon forces." says Ryan but before he can say more he knocked from his feet as more Zeon shells fall nearby and shake the ground with their explosion.
"Glad you could join the party. I am also glad you are still able to move around." answers a female voice. "You should probably head to the edge of the base where we can send a magella to pick you up."
"No thank you Lieutenant." replies Ryan as he regains his feet once again. "I think I shall go get my mobile suit from the Feddie hangers so I can join in on all the fun."
"Suit yourself but make it quick. We have have a plan to make this battle alot easier for us."
"No worries. By the time you need to do what ever you are planning I will be out. If not well just go on. No point in too many people dying just for little old me."
"Noble." answers Jynx's voice sarcastically as Ryan removes the head phones and throws away the pack as he rounds a corner. He comes to an abrubt stop as he spots to the machinegun nest just head of him filled with soldiers. He curses but with their backs to him they don't notice him but the man closer to Ryan notices him. The man's eyes narrow as he draws a pistol. Before the man can yell for help Ryan throws his only grenade at him. The man though just knocks it over him. Seconds later the grenade explodes in the machinegun nest and showers the two with hot debris. Lucky for Ryan though the man drops the gun as a burning stick lands on his hand and burns him but with out missing a beat the man draws a knife with his other hand leaps forwards. Ryan expecting a slash from the knife is surprised as the man whips out his foot and kicks him in the head.
As Ryan hits the ground he realizes that he dropped his machinegun in the fall. He jumps to his feet and dodges the man's slash and returns with a punch of his own to the man's stomache. With out even flinching the man whips out his other hand and back hands Ryan to the side of the face. As Ryan sees stars from the blow he stumbles away from the man who snorts and allows Ryan to clear his head alittle before he slams his foot out at him again. This time Ryan's vision blurs and he doesn't remember hitting the ground but feeling the man standing over him. Before the man can use his knife though Ryan acts with his training and kicks the knife out of the hand and then whips another kick into the man's stomache sending him this time to the ground.
Just as Ryan regains his footing the world around seems to explode and he is sent flying. A few seconds later he opens his eyes to find the area around him on fire. He checks himself and finds that he isn't on fire but finds a couple wounds from debris but forces himself to his feet. He looks around for the man once again but doesn't find him. Ryan just shrugs and runs to the hangers that are now closer.

Sitting in a rather calm part of the jungle Spencer looks down at the picture of his family. It has become something like a good luck charm to him. Nothing meant more to him than his family. His family was also why he was her on Earth fitting a war that was so far from his home. He grunts and slides it into its place on his control panel and looks up and at the Federation base that is under heavy fire by both ships and mobile suits. Thanks to the heavy jamming Spencer was able to get this close to the base undetected but he has to wait to join in unless he comes under fire. His mobile suit is armed with a bazooka as well as several other weapons mounted on its body but the bazooka is the only weapon held. He hopes the base defenders' hover trucks won't detect his position to soon and send mobile suits to deal with. Compared to their GMs his Zaku I will find itself at a serious disadvantage.
Near the southern part of the base that visible to him Spencer spots a Dom as it speeds towards the base. Its giant bazooka firing rounds into the base at an unseen target. Its movements those of a graceful skater on ice as it races out of sight. Inside the Dom Christian Zee follows the movement of a Ground Type Gundam as it tries to fire on him. Being very fast and agile he easily dodges the energy blasts. With a final shot he hits the gundam dead center and disappears in the fireball that results. He throws away the empty bazooka and draws his machinegun and chases after another gundam. This time the gundam's pilot is smart and showers the Dom's path with vulcan fire.
Dodging around the weapons fire the Dom continues on its rush of the gundam when the gundam surprises him fires off several flares in his path and blinds. As Christian covers his eyes from the blinding light an energy blast cuts away his left arm. With nothing in the arm the damage is pointless but it still forces the Dom away from its charge. This proves to be a mistake for the Dom but before the Gundam can gain from the mistake it is cut down by the Efreet.
"You should be more carefull." yells Ryan as he starts up his smoke emitters to cover the retreat of himself and the Dom. "Lets go."
"Thanks." sighs Christian as he turns and blasts away. "Jynx our friend is in his mobile suit and is heading to the perimeter."
"Acknowledged. Proceeding with the next part of the plan." answers Jynx's voice. "Spencer it is up to you now. If you don't succeed we are done for."
Spencer nods and starts his first jump. While in the air he spots a nearby GM and curses his luck but fires off his bazooka at it. The rounds explode around forcing the suit to retreat away from the Zaku but as soon as it hits the ground on the other side of the wall it finds another GM in front of him. He curses but throws away his bazooka and draws a grenade launcher with his right arm and a heat sword with his left. With those two weapons in hand he charges the GM which draws a beam saber and readies itself to meet the charge head on.
"Finally a Feddie with some honor." grunts Spencer as he readies himself. "Grenades will be away in a second."
With those words he meets the GM in melee combat. It easily dodges his attack and slashes with its beam saber. The strike proves to be fatal for Spencer but his other attack also proves to be just as fatal for the GM pilot as the two grenades rocket to different parts of the Federation base where they release their deadly payload. As Spencer's body is evaporated by the beam saber his mind goes off to his family so far away. His only regret is that he was unable to see them again but he did get to say goodbye before he left and to him that was enough and he knows it would enough for his wife and son.

"No!!!" cries out Jynx as she watches her friend die. Then with a roar of rage her weaking attack against a GM turns to one sided assault that ended with the GM exploding.
With the G3 nerve gas already at the GM that killed Spencer she watches as the pilot blows his hatch and dives out his cockpit screaming or at least what looks like screaming to fall and break his neck on the ground.
"That death was two easy for that worm." says Jynx with a voice still filled with rage.
As she watches the rest of the base begins to die. She nods to herself and she fails to notice the escaping Pegasus class carrier and Big Tray. Even if she seen them there would been nothing she could of done. Also with death of Spencer she probably wouldn't of cared. Her only thought was returning to her ship and drinking away her problems.
As she retreats other mobile suits form up on her unnoticed and follow her back to the ships that are now waiting for the remaining pilots. Even though the death of Spencer was the only one she noticed her forces loses were heavy but she rescued the Zeon pilot and removed the Federation base from the area.
Outcome: East Asia HQ destroyed
Gouf: 2 days of damage, 16 vp plus a promotion
Zaku I B: suit upgrading for 8 days, pilot dead for 6 days, 16 vp
Efreet: 1 day of repairs, 16 vp
