Sequencing is a strategy used in reading .  الترتيب التعاقبي استراتيجية متبعة في القراءة

• Look at the pictures of the story and decide which shows the beginning , middle and end of the story.

• Read each paragraph . Pay attention to the linking words. They often help you decide the order of events الترتيب الزمني للأحداث  , (e.g. one day ذات يوم , suddenly بغتةً , in the end )

• Decide a possible order ترتيباً منطقياً  for the paragraphs.

• Read them in that order to see if the story makes sense.

One day, my two brothers and I were coming back from the islands, our boat full of fish.. All at once , the horizon was covered with a cloud and  in less than a minute we were in a terrible storm. An enormous wave covered اجتاحت  our boat and my younger brother fell overboard. Our boat survived , and I was trying to recover استعيد قواي when elder brother screamed out the horrifying word "Whirlpool!" .

When were on the edge of the whirlpool, I felt calmer than when we were moving towards it. We went round and round. Suddenly, we went over the of the whirlpool. While we were inside the whirlpool going round in circles at great speed, I saw clearly that the heavier objects went down more quickly than the lighter ones. So I tied myself to a barrel to help me float. Because my brother was terrified, he stayed in the heavy boat.

Soon afterwards , the whirlpool became violent. Then the wind calmer and calmer. In the end, a boat picked me up  انتشلني . I was exhausted . The fishermen who saved me were my companions أصحابي  , but they did not recognize me.
