realised that this site is majorly DULL and i must do something about it - im substituting pages of links for a personality. i felt like i should start a log to let ppl know what im doing. haven't finished either zine yet, but its getting there, slowly but surely. soooo...what have i been up to...well, mourning the tragedy that is film sequels. i saw both "the matrix reloaded" and "charlies angels: full throttle" recently, and was desperately disappointed by both. i have been living in a wickle dweem world up until now and refused to believe ppl who said that sequels are never as good as the original film, but now i see they are sooo right. as sequels go, "matrix reloaded" was't so bad, but when compared to "the matrix", which, in my opinion, was a work of art, it kinda sucks. and charlies angels 2 just annoyed me ever so slightly, and was very hard to follow. *sigh*
i have been thinking loads recently about the beauty myth and the pressures put on us grrrlies to be thin, hairless and beautiful. jeeeeeeesus, the lengths we go to. In an effort to keep my armpit hairless for longer than shaving, which leaves too much stubble, i waxed my armpits this morning, and they were raw for the rest of the day. i also resent the fact that i am unhappy with my body shape. maybe this is a good topic for an article...
i have been giving more than enough money to virgin/richard branson recently, which i am not proud of cos i have a thing about buying things from companies run by multi-millionaires who have more than enough money anyway. however, i just couldnt resist buying loadsa videos i've been wanting to see for ages (girl, interrupted; thelma and louise; meet the parents...) for rental price (3 quid!). in the past week i've bought a total of 8 videos from virgin megastores and am overall very pleased with my purchases. loved thelma and louise, loved girl interrupted, loved the breakfast club (except for the end when thingamy-bob gets a makeover). havent watched the rest, but felt guilty buying stuff from a capitalist money-making machine. a bit relieved on discovering that my local punk club/zine resource centre was closed for july and that i didnt have to walk in there with virgin megastore bags in my arms the other day. more later, ari xox

I've moved everything from the old website (::3D::) to the new one (ie. the one you're looking at now, unless somebody's plagiarised my material, which it unlikely). This is beacuse...well, the old site sucked, and I wanted to start afresh. if you've never been to either here or the old website, welcome. love ari xox

Just had an astonishing revelation about myself:

woo go me!
I've been working on with the action girl zine, but its kind of hard to decide what to call it. At the moment, "All the Rage" is looking likely, but I'm toying with the idea of calling it "You Bitches From Hell!!!" (that's a Thelma and Louise quote, incase you're wondering). It has quite a ring to it, don't you think?...any ideas or opinions, email me.
