My latest project that I'm working on is a zine about action chicks in movies, and i'm looking for contributions.
Basically, I'm looking for lotsa stuff to do with women in action flicks:
-reviews of movies with strong or not-so-strong women in them,
-top ten kick-ass women lists,
-opinions/articles about the representations of strong (or weak) women in action movies,
-whether having women in action movies actually benefits women/feminism or not (eg. perhaps it's glorifying male culture too much or gives illusion of equality; or on other hand helps too see other side of coin to victimisation of women we so often see in films),
-real-life stories about women who kick butt (emphasising physical kick-arse-ness ie they are physically strong eg women who have led armies into battle, warrior women etc),
-how seeing violent or strong women in films has benefitted or disadvantaged u,
-self-defence tips,
-pictures etc.
plus other stuff you can think of. anything would be really helpful.
