Met in class. Picked magnet school. Will research over weekend the different kinds of magnet schools. All present Tuesday 6-28-05 Met in class. Shared research on schools. Talked about the work load and what everyone wanted to do. All present Thursday 6-30-05 Met in class. Divided up work for the project. Decided on four schools to work with. Greg will speak with people about the budget, Janice will research curriculum, Erica will begin website, Sharon will do the organization chart, Lisa will do mission/philosophy statement. All will research a location. All present Tuesday 7-5-05 Met before class. We discussed a new type of plan that we wanted to do. We decided to go with an existing school instead of designing a new one. We will add an after school magnet program to Serrano High in the Snowline district. We will focus on visual arts, law and science. Students will receive college credit. There will be an application process for students to fill out. Greg was absent Thursday 7-7-05 Met in class. Spoke about our different parts that we were working on. Shared information and ideas. Made sure that everyone was doing alright. Lisa was absent Tuesday 7-12-05 NO CLASS Thursday 7-14-05 Met in class. Greg discussed budget and business plan. Greg gave info to Erica to put on the website. Sharon showed us the organizational chart. Janice is going to the school and get the address. Discussed having an introduction class for people to see if they wanted to stay in the program. All present Tuesday 7-19-05 Met in class. Sharon redesigned the website. Everyone gave information to Erica so she could prepare it to go online. Erica will type everything up and send it to Sharon to upload. Wrapped up any loose ends. All present Thursday 7-21-05 Met in class. Reviewed what we wanted to do for the presentation. Made sure everything was done and ready to go. Lisa and Stephanie showed the pamphlets for the presentation Erica was absent |
