One of my roses that nestles beside a wall. A friend had given me enough broken up concrete from an old driveway to create the wall and the patio it sits on.
A friend worked at a rose nursery in Southwestern Ontario for a few summers. When visiting one weekend, she brought me several potted roses that had lost their tags. If you could help me with identification, could you please email me.
The winding path set in the grass just before I built the bridge. The local authorities had torn down an 1800's warehouse. I scooped up the foundation stones. Recycling at it's best.
The bridge I built from discounted lumber from a local lumber yard to walk over my river garden. I think I put this together for about $10, but that of course does not include the cost of cursing!

My very first Hosta - Hosta Ventricosa - which I have finally identified. It was given to me by a neighbour. At last count I think I have 22 different varieties.
Stuffed construction boots - Just for fun!
The Back Fence It's a 6' stormwater easment that was always to wet to mow. So....I called in the engineers and asked if I could plant on it. Everything planted there is native from the roadsides and nearby open country. If it bloomed or looked appealing found a new home on the easement.
Lillies - so spectacular in their bright colours. This was the first of many to follow. They are just so pretty and give a nice punch to a dull area.
