Section Trip to Disneyland Postponed Due to Too Many Last-Minute Cancelations

The Section trip to Disneyland was postponed for the third year in a row due to too many last-minute cancelations.

Larry Herhog, a travel agent at the MerriMaker Travel Agency who handles the Section account, expressed regret that the plans for a Section vacation had fallen through yet again.

�You see, we need a certain amount of operatives to get the special Disney Discount Rate, which is valid only during the off-peak season in November. Operatives sign up to go on the trip in January, and the list is always full. But come November when it is time to go, there are always several last-minute cancelations.�

Larry said that it was hard to gauge how many people who had signed up for the trip in January would actually be alive to go in November.

Operatives who had signed up for the trip this year were given the option of taking a day trip to Euro Disney instead, but the offer was rejected immediately.

Mr. Herhog told people not to get discouraged and that he is optimistic the trip will take place next year.

�We will continue planning the trip for 2000. If everyone understands how cancelations affect the entire group, then next year hopefully people will be considerate enough to be canceled early so we can find replacements in time.�
