firing only one shot each evry few seconds.
The majority of the missions are very well designed, most notibly are the battle of Endor and the Death Star escape. But as, alawys, their are a couple of exceptions such as the painfully dull Imperial heist
GBA Ok, so you've probably already glanced over to the screenshots by now and seen how magnificently gorgeous this game looks. While playing the game its not uncommon for you to think your actually watching all the best bits from the film. Ok, bit of an exageration
completing the game and earning medals is never going to happen but hang in their, believe me. Ive had loads of times when Ive given up hope but if ypou stick to it, like I did, you will reach your goal. And, like me, you will probably want to keep coming back to it, again and again and again.
It will slowly take up your
but the no doubt that Rouge Leaders graphics are strikingly similar to the films visuals and it is definately the best looking Gamecube launch game, hands down.
If your a fan of the film you will be in your essence. From racing down the trench run to facing star destroyers in the battle of endor you will love it all. The basic game is made up of 10 main missions, a training mission and 5 unlockable bonus missions. The game has a slightly strange learning curve as it starts of being easy as hell, then gets a lot harder, fast. Then when you think it cant possibly get any harder, it does. At times Rouge Leader will seem impossibly hard and you will probably end up thinking that
and the Ison corridor ambush which you seem to win by doing nothing at all.
But appart from these few minor sniggles the missions overall are very well designed and fun toplay through many times over.
If you love Star Wars, you'll love this game, if you owned the original youll love this game (although you might find it a bit easy, *cough* eddie) and if your looking for a good shoot em up for the gamecube launch, youll love it.
It isnt the killer app the Gamecube was hoping for but its still a bluuddy good game. Star Wars fans rejoice!
entire life.
The gameplay remains basically the same as Rouge Squadron except from a couple of minor additions such as the targetting computer and the ability to control your wingmen. These sound very good but are not quite up to scratch. If you want to get medals you have to use the targettig computer as little as possible so using it feels like a bad habit and when you do tell your wingmen to do things they rarely make any difference
Frustratingly hard but a brilliantly good game. 89%
