| graphics like this can be running so fast keeping a phonomenal sense of speed with no slow down at all. You will wonder whether your little black box is about to melt or implode. Ok, now for the bad bits. Although there arent to many bits of the game that spoil it completely there are still some. The main problem and the only real let down is that the gameplay can get a tad repetitve after a while as the laps are long and |

| Another thing about Burnout is that it is very, very addictive. In fact, it is probably one of the most addictive games we here at Multiformat have ever played. This is partly to do with the boost system and weaving in and out of traffic and also the overall speed of the game. When you are going full pelt down a busy highway you can almost fell the wind in your hair and you can almost feel the collison as it is repeated in slow motion.Aswell as that the multiplayer is even more addictive, you keep saying to yourself that this will be your last race for bbout fifty times until you realise the time and tell your mates to,' get the hell out my house!' | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The idea is pretty simple. Race round a track against four other drivers. The only alteration to this simple idea is that the track is a busy highway with plenty of traffic on. You have to weave in and out of traffic at breakneck speeds and, as you might expect, Crahes are plenty. In fact, the only thing missing is Michael Burke's voice sounding in over the top introducing the next crash. The gameplay is simple enough, you gain boost points by hving near misses with traffic and oncoming veichles. Every few boost points fill up the boost meter. (You still with me?). When you fill the bar up to the top yoyu get 'burnout'. This basically means that your car will travel at a blisteringly fast brakeneck speed at the touch of a button. This method of boost points rewards the wreckless drivers and forces you to go for the near misses. |

| their are three in each race. This isnt helped by the fact that the is little difference between the coures. This isnt very noticable at the begining but near the end of the game it will start to drag a bit. Apart from that Burnout isnt to bad at all and will last ages as you will keep coming back to it again and again even after you complete it. For driving fans Burnout is a must and it can entertain pretty much anyone else too. |
