Sometimes we do not want MRTG to calculate the
weekly or monthly average of the targets. For example, it does not make
sense to calculate weekly average of the CPU utilization. We need only the
daily graph of the CPU utilization of the servers or routers. So I wrote a
perl script for this purpose. MRTG Daily will save the daily generated
MRTG graph and create a html file that contains these graphics. All this
process is automatic. You tell MRTG Daily where your MRTG configuration
file is and set it up to run every day. It takes care of the rest. Click the
link at the top of this page to see the screen shot of a sample html file
that MRTG Daily generated. Detailed description
is available in the installation page.
