2 Cups Flour (all purpose)
1 1/2 Cups Sugar
2 teaspoons Baking Soda
2 teaspoons Vanilla
2 Eggs
1 Medium Can Fruit Cocktail (juice & all)
Mix together ALL above ingredients in a large bowl, do NOT use a mixer. Pour into a 9 x 13 pan (greased & floured).
Sprinkle approx. 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar and Nut Meats on cake before baking. Bake around 40 minutes in a 400 oven.
While cake is baking---Mix together:
1 Stick Margarine
3/4 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup milk
1 teaspoon Vanilla
Mix above ingredients together in a saucepan bringing it to a boil. Do NOT keep cooking it. Pour over top of cake as soon as it comes from the oven. I actually do this about 5-10 minutes before cake is done.
