STUDY GUIDELINES
WHAT THEY ARE AND HOW TO USE
THEM
- You will be receiving
“study guidelines” each time we start a new
assignment. Study guidelines are a
tool I’ve prepared for you to help you complete your assignments
successfully.
- As a traveler would
use a map as a guide to a destination, these study guidelines will serve
as a map to guide you in your studies.
I hope you find them helpful and “user friendly”.
- The best way to use the study
guidelines is to place them next to whatever source you are studying- such
as your textbook, worksheets, or notes.
Then use them as you would a map as a guide to your destination.
- The central concept for the lesson
will always be between the two horizontal lines at the top of the
page. You are to focus on this as the key idea for the assignment. The key idea will help answer the
question, “Why do we have to learn/do this?”
- There will be
numbered sentences on the study guidelines. These sentences tell exactly what you
are responsible for learning.
You must master the specifics in these sentences if you are to
understand the key idea.
- Each sentence on the
study guidelines sheet will be the subject of a series of
questions on a quiz or test. You
will be tested on your comprehension and mastery of each of the sentences.
