Book Project Each student will create an ABC Book for their
state. Within this book the
following letters have specific directions: 1.
F is for Flag
Write the history of the state flag. 2.
H is for History
This section will include a written history about
your state,
This section should
include the following information: ·
When, why, and how was the state founded?
Don’t forget to
include the date it became a state, the state’s number (e.g. 31/50),
and who (if applicable) owned the state before it was a state. 3.
O is for Origin
Write the origin of your state’s name. 4.
Q is for Quarter
Write about the issue date and history of the picture chosen for your
state’s quarter. 5.
U is for Universities
Write about any colleges or universities that are found in your state, be
sure to include if they have any special types of programs at theses schools. 6.
V is for VIP
Name important/famous people that were born or grew up in your state. 7.
X is for eXciting places to visit.
Write about places that would be fun to visit in your state. 8.
Z is for Zones
Include a physical map of your state, and describe the different types of
landform regions found in your state.
Cover – The cover should include the
State Nickname, the State Motto, and a picture of the State Seal. DUE
