22/05/02 - Well, the demo's done, and it's more than we could have hoped for! it came out amazingly. tracks on it were desert song, bad lungs and infinity and it all worked out very nicely. make sure to get your copy from one of us boys, although maybe not Jim as he's decided to leave the band. but that's really un-important news.
17/05/02 - It's been a while since the last update so quite a lot's happened. The gig at the Air Balloon firstly, was quite a success. Despite a bad start we put on a good performance over all and everyone seemeed to enjoy it. Thanks for everyone that came along, especially Sumoculture who came down from Warminster! We didn't go through, but there was obvious bias again as the bands that won got to play for half an hour longer than everyone else. On a plus note, the last band: Fidgit trashed the drum kit which was a semi-retribution for how shit that company is. Secodnly, the dugout studios, where we're recording our demo called us up and told us their computer had broken so we wouldn't be able to record our demo till 2 weeks later than originally planned. It'll be worth the wait though, i'm sure. Lastly...hot rumours: prodigal sun might be playing with up and coming french band 'Sic' both in England, and in France...
04/05/02 - Well, due to gay emergenza being on the same day as the deadpan gig, we have had to cancel that in order to compete in the second round of the battle of the bands. 25/03/02 - WOW! theres another succesful gig for Prodigal Sun at the Horseshoe. I have to say, the high point was when the crowd chanted our name, that made me happy guys. thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket and came along to support us, it's much apreciated. We came second, despite the contest being blatantly rigged (we sell 34 tickets, yet we only get 21 votes...sounds likely), but this does mean we go through to the next round at the air balloon. We also have a gig coming up soon at thorngate with deadpan facelift wired and fluid which should be good. Stay tuned to the gigs page for more info when I have it.
15/03/02 - Well, we played the Warminster gig, and I have to say I was proud of us. The Prodigal Sun that played the youth centre are no more. now we're tight, energetic, and we have a cadre of our own songs that the audience loved! It's been a great set-up for the Horeshoe gig, which is the really important one. get your tickets soon cause it's gonna sell out! I'd even go so far as to claim that we're worth the extortionate ticket price of �5 (if it makes you feel better, we aren't making any profit on them).
