| 06/02/02 - Ok, we have two gig anouncements to make! our first will be played in Warminster (still unsure of the venue) on the 13th of March, and the second will be at the horeshoe in portsmouth on the 24th of march. Please try and come along and give us some support. we have some amazing new songs that we know you're gonna like! see the gigs page for more information. 30/01/02 - After a long and tortuous writing period, Prodigal Sun are finally ready to hit the road again, and play some gigs. Although we have no confirmed dates yet, we will soon be playing with Deadpan in the Gosport area, with Sumoculture in Warminster, and we are soon to be entered into the Emergenza festival (a big battle of the bands) that will take place in Portsmouth. Keep your eyes on the gigs page for more news, as and when we get it. 17/11/01 - SHOCK NEWS!!! Following weeks of heartfelt consideration, Pip has decided to leave Prodigal Sun to persue other avenues. We as a band would like to wish him luck in whatever project he chooses to grace with his presence, and god speed! Don't fret all you faithful followers of Prodigal Sun though, the band will carry on like normal, with Jon switching to rhythm guitar and vocals. We're writing new material as we speak, and when we return Prodigal Sun will be bigger and better than ever! 01/11/01 - Well the gig came and went. Was it good? who's to say. if you saw it and enjoyed it, I'm glad, but we didn't live up to our potential (or even our standard in rehearsals). A lousy venue with an uptight guy in charge didn't help (15 minutes to set up and soundcheck just wasn't right) but oh well, things go wrong, but we will come back, don't you worry. We're back into the writing process, so some new tunes from Prodigal Sun are just around the corner...... 21/10/01 - Carl left us. The whore. So we got a new drummer. he left us too. So we got a new drummer. he might stay for a while, you never know. we can just hope he stays for our gig. YES! YOU HEARD RIGHT! A GIG! 31st October at fareham youth centre. only �1 be there. and u get to see the glorious deadpan and hidden agenda as well, SO WHAT ARE YOU COMPLAINING ABOUT?! see the gigs page for more information (well.....actually for pretty much the same amount of information) 28/9/01 - Yeah, I know it's been a long time since the page was last updated (in fact this may be the first time), but it's not like anyone actually comes here to read it anyway. Plus I'm very lazy. But we finally have some good news. After a long and exhaustive search, Prodigal Sun has found themselves a drummer! Yes, it's true. Crazy, but true. The wonderous Carl has just come back from the marines (the most metal of the armed forces) and is happily drumming for us (at the moment at least...). Rehearsing and writing are progressing remarkably well, and we believe we now hve stuiff that people might actually want to hear. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before that elusive first gig shall be offered to us. Meantime, we've always got each other... 21/7/01 - Well, the website is online in an unfinished state.
