| Much of the terrain makes growing crops difficult. There has always been very few trees, making fuel for cooking limited. The chinese adapted to this by cutting food into small pieces so it would cook quickly, using less fuel. Stir-fry and steam cookery are examples of this quick cooking adaptation. |
