Out of 100 people invited only 35 were counted for the morning of the wedding. Not all 35 showed up to the ceremony. Only 30 people showed up.
The reception site got a taste of Bridezilla, when we arrived that morning to decorate and nothing was ready and people were working on the doorway lending to the room. Okay, Bridezilla hit them twice. When we arrived to get the part started some one was exiting the room with a floor polisher. That made the room smell horrible.
The ceremony almost didn't happen. We were running behind schedule. Ceremony was scheduled at 2:30pm. At 2:35pm, I was leaving the house for the park. My auntie got us there in 15 minutes. She was speeding. Good thing because the officiant had called and said she is going to have to leave if we wasn't there by 3pm. She scheduled another ceremony after ours. I told her to cut stuff from the ceremony. She wouldn't but I decided to just have everyone take there places and omit the music. My parents escorted me down the aisle and gave me away (that was planned but it turned out to be a great add to the ceremony). The ceremony was beautiful.
We took some pictures under the gazebo and then left for the reception site. At 4:30pm, we started letting everyone in the room. The parents and gradparents first, than everyone else. My auntie blessed the food. We eat, talked, and listened to music. As dinner came to an end, I pulled my mom to the kitchen and gave her a special gift. I framed a special poem just for her. Then, I said a toast to the mothers. I had the song, "Wind Beneath My Wings" played after I finished the toast. As the song played, Justin gave my mom and I gave his mom,a floral arrangment put together by myself.
After dinner, we danced and had a good ol' time. The day ended wonderfully even with all the bumps in the road. I was a lovely bride and Justin was a sharp groom. |
