This is a humongous puddingstone we
found 2001 and shlepped home, and almost died getting into place... 300lb +
we carried it over a rock bar exposed
by water, in the little boat, and to our
island ...no mean feat!  It has a good
representation of many colored jaspers
and quartz...a real gem quality stone!!
We collected several in 200l and placed them at the foot of
the porch stairs... Tippy is looking on to the assembled stones
and the big one is on the left. Ultimately we collected about
10 which were smaller, and placed in the grouping.
Home!
This is mrsdoubtfyre's new boat, and our old
boat on the right...we carried the rocks
in the small one in 2001. My new boat is
hopefully going to allow me more
independence in the future.... and will
allow us more flexibility in transporting >>>>
stuff.
The puddingstone was collected off to
the left on a stone outcropping exposed
by the low water 2001 about 1/2mile
into the open water.

This is the interior of our cabin... fireplace fixed by me in 2000, and
my art corner to the right.
This is my son demonstrating what can
happen if you don't watch your step on the  dock!! >wink<  >very wet<
This is my 1935 kitchen complete with
hand pump, with Sheba our eldest cat
thinking deep thoughts. This kitchen was
designed by a man, and is very small--
comparable to a trailer size kitchen today.

See the hand pump (still available from the
Amish catalog) and the scrap baggie in the
right foreground which compares to a
garbage disposal--natural. The sink is a
long trough type, antique now.
This is my first garden attempt, 2000,
using seeds from Martha Stewart I
bought at a Kmart. This season it is the
3rd bloom. This summer 2002 the deer
who I do love dearly, managed to eat
this patch twice.... delaying the bloom into late Aug-Sept.  It took every trick
in my book to get them back, but I did
it!!  Our old dock is to the upper left
where we sit and have breakfast/lunch
or dinner and enjoy the weather. I like
having my flowers there too. But to get
them to this stage requires great effort
and care!
