THIS IS A COMPILATION OF THEE MOST PLAYED OLD SCHOOL STYLE DM WADS IN THE WORLD
This is an Official Deathmatch WAD of the MegaSphere
(the BEST Indiana multi-player BBS). - SINCE 1996
* Mega 4 is 29 of the best Deathmatch levels , compiled just for you.
Aren't you special. This 4 Megabyte WAD includes all new music,
sound effects, and some cool new graphics. The levels are divided into 3
sections, so you can easily "-warp" to any of the levels when you are
starting a deathmatch. Levels 1-14 are fast deathmatch levels, 15-24 are a
little larger yet still play really grate.

the wad WILL run on any Doom source port aswell as DOOM2.EXE
This WAD is dedicated to all, MegaSphere BBS and DM players and MAPPERS around
the world,
with special thanks to Sysop Adam Pedersen, Viper aka Steve - who came up with
the thing
in the first place..
the megasphere bbs was a thing of magic back in the day and i just had to
recompile a
new mega for todays players aswell as trying to keep the good old classic dm
magic alive.
Some really fantastic levels, plus some
great new tunes and sfx. As no-one reads these files anyway, I won't bother
with a lengthy intro or descriptions of each level. I'll launch straight
into the creds...
All the levels work great for all numbers of players, the first 10 can be
particularly hectic with four players, and lotsa fun. Some of them I don't know
the
original names, as they came in collections and I don't have the text files,
sorry. i'll just have to name off all the authors of the maps to the best of my
knowlage
.

the default ZOOM key is "W" , use it to ZOOM , press W to zoom , press it again

mostly what the config was for was to be able to have a zoom key pre binded
so everyone will have a zoom view in the map..
the config also disables or mutes the midi music for the map because its music
is played as a soundfx.
these 2 config vars. will only be executed when running this map , unless you
wanted to use cvar exec MRQ3DM.cfg
so it would run on a different map , you can do that to :)

Description : 1-12 player - Druid aka DarkDruid had an idea about
making a movie
with a really long
hallway , almost never ending hallway for a doom avi he was planning to
make.
He asked if i could
help , he showed me a map he started on with this long hallway that streched
from one side of the
editor all the way to the other zoomed out all the way..
i was like damn!
thats one long hallway! - the demo was neat but the map needed to much attention
to
be able to place the
doors ways in , i ended up building it from scratch..
anyhows , we decided to have a never ending cycle of doors open to the bet
of the music he wanted..
turned out being ,The
Halls of the Mountain King ,which was really cool theme for such a movie..
i tried to get
the doors in sync with the tempo of the mucis , they work with the tempo but not
like i wanted but
should be good enough to have something to work with a movie.
but anyway , what was
ment to be for a movie i ended up turning into a playable map..

There was a little prob. in software mode at first but its ok now..
..seems there was too many line def's in view of the player
one start from what I gathered while in software mode.. that
be fixed now ! , when cutting down on the line def's and cleaning up
I noticed a big performance in software mode , although there is a texture
alignment that's off in software mode but not in 3dfx or gl , no big deal
though..runs "best in 3dfx mode" - well for me using a voodoo3 on an AMD-K62
at 500Mhz anyhows but still runs fast in software mode .. "don't try running
this wad
with just DOOM with out the port"- it won't run , lol - it don't have
no more visplanes.. :) just incase your wondering ,but legacy will spit them all
out
with no problem..though legacy does have its limits to.

This is
the Official Deathmatch WAD of the MegaSphere BBS (the BEST Indiana
multi-player BBS). 30 of the best Deathmatch WADs out there. There's sure
to be something here you like. Some really fantastic levels, plus some
great new tunes and sfx. As no-one reads these files anyway, I won't bother
with a lengthy intro or descriptions of each level. I'll launch straight
into the creds and level list.
Megawad 3 is 30 of the best Deathmatch levels in the world, compiled just
for you. Aren't you special. This 4 Megabyte WAD includes all new music,
sound effects, and some cool new graphics. The levels are divided into 3
sections, so you can easily "-warp" to any of the levels when you are
starting a deathmatch. Levels 1-14 are fast deathmatch levels, 15-24 are
just some of the AWESOME levels made by Megasphere members
This WAD is too large to play completely in one sitting unless you use -timer
4 (this will give you a two-hour long match), or if you don't mind having
cramp, square eyes, and a phone bill from hell when you're done. Instead it
has been made so that by -WARPing to certain levels, you choose what to play.
The levels go like this:
1 - 9 : Small fast levels
10 - 14: Remakes of original levels
15 - 19: Large, plain, open levels
20 - 24: Levels from the D9 series
25 - 30: Large, complex levels
This WAD is dedicated to all at the MegaSphere BBS, with special thanks to
Sysop Adam Pedersen, who came up with the thing in the first place, supplied
WADs and ideas, did the intermission picture, and twice asked me to completely
re-arrange most of the thirty levels. Luckily for him I don't hold grudges ;)
All the levels work great for all numbers of players, the first nine can be
particularly hectic with four players, and lotsa fun. Here, then, is the list
of WADs which went into this collection. Some of them I don't know the
original names, as they came in collections and I don't have the text files,
sorry. The text files we could find are in the file TEXTS.ZIP.

Map information
Megawad 2 is 30 of the best Deathmatch levels in the world, compiled just
for you. Aren't you special. This 4 Megabyte WAD includes all new music,
sound effects, and some cool new graphics. The levels are divided into 3
sections, so you can easily "-warp" to any of the levels when you are
starting a deathmatch. Levels 1-14 are fast deathmatch levels, 15-24 are
just some of the AWESOME levels made by Megasphere members, and 25-30 are
special levels and team games.
These levels are designed to be played in new deathmatch mode "-altdeath"
In many levels, using a different skill level will change the types of
weapons on the level.
IMPORTANT: See "Rules.TXT" for info on how to play the team games!
