30 Day Journal Project

Pretend that you are on a deserted island. Your plane has crashed and you are the only survivor. You survived with your parachute and 3 other items, that you were fortunate to grab before jumping from the plane. What would you bring? How would it help you survive? Will you get off the island?

Remember that you story has to make sense and be realistic. You cannot have violence or blood. Your character may die at the end, but it has to be a respectful way, i.e. starvation, dehydration, drowning in the ocean, or maybe a rare tropical disease.

Have fun with this. Let you creative juices flow. You roughly keeping a 30 day journal/diary telling or recounting the events on the island. We will be “publishing” or final copies in a blank “bare” book. Think about illustrations that you want to include in your diary. I will be giving you the books at the end of March. The entire project will be due at the end of April. I will give you an exact date later.

Don’t forget to edit your writing as you go along. Check for capitals, usage of words, spelling, and punctuation. Don’t forget to include so quotations or conversation in your diary. Remember to indent each time you have a new speaker. (You are creating a new paragraph each time.
