Project Update

Island Story - The due date for the final copy of their book, will be Monday, May 12th. This will give them plenty of time to finish their diary entries, illustrations, cover, and dedication. We will do the “About the Author” page in school.

They need to remember that their story needs to be realistic and make sense.

Some of the children are pacing themselves well and using the time that I give them on Thursday afternoons. While others are still writing drafts, starting over, and wasting time. I told that they have had plenty of time and this will count towards their third report card. This is one of their final projects for fourth grade.* I have been working with many of the children to establish a routine/system to finish their project in a timely manner. It is up to them to implement the system and make it work.







* The other project will be a planet brochure. Most of this project will be done in school. Hopefully, all will stay focused and use their time wisely.
