This course is a college preparatory course designed for students planning on pursuing careers in the natural sciences or health related fields. The course provides the student with a rigorous curriculum that focuses on topics in Biochemistry, Cell/Molecular Biology, Metabolism & Homeostasis, Genetics, Ecology and Evolution. This is a laboratory oriented biology course, using college-level materials,and offering units of study in experimental design. The course will require oustide readings with both group and individual projects. An individual research project consisting of an experiment, research paper, and oral presentation is required.
Pre-requisite: Approval of Freshman Science Teacher
