Warcraft 2 is fun, but if your looking for more complex "Use Map Settings maps get Warcraft III. However, if you enjoy melee type games, grab Starcraft off the shelf (Its quite cheap). The multiple races and the differences between them creates a lot of strategies. Warcraft 2 races are quite similar, and choosing your race doesn't really matter. Of course warcraft 2 is fun to many because of having fewer strategies.
Important: When using "Use Map Settings" maps the victory conditions remain the same as melee (Kill all enemy units, rescue all friendly units) Therefore, to win you must do all of those things.
Noticing the lack of melee maps I may make a few maps to fill that side in.
