What Our Customers Are Saying:

...I haven't dropped you a line for sometime.  I had some elbow trouble from last August on, so I did not finish my year (at State Tournament) well at all.

When I pitched with my arm flat to pitch the flip, I had a lot of pain in m y elbow.  So, I came home and started to throw a 1 1/4 turn and found out I had no pain at all.  The only trouble is, I can only average about 47%, and that is not good in Class "A" when you carry a 64% average.

One day, I saw an article on Jesse Gonzales and his success with the flip shoe.  When I saw a picture of his back swing, I saw a turn shoe position at the end of his back swing.  I showed it to my teacher and he saw what I say, so we began with my DIFFERENT swing.

Start the swing down, as a turn shoe, into the turn shoe back swing; come forward with a natural, slow swing, and at the release point, release it like a flip shoe.  It is very easy to do with Mr. D. Shoes, because of the toe being smooth without a toe caulk, and with the good slant, it is easy to keep the same grip all the way through.  The extra, extra heavy heels takes over into a very nice one flip, with a soft shoe landing.

The two nice things about this is I have been pitching a 78% average WITH NO ELBOW PAIN!

I would like you to send me a pair of the 2-lb, 10-oz Mr. D's, without ringer breaker.

...we decided to buy the other pair of MR. D. SHOES for our Oregon museum. Before going to the museum with them, I let several people pitch them on the grass so they could see what they're like. I even pitched them a few times, as six years ago I started out pitching a double flip, but now pitch a turn shoe.  They flipped so easily, I was amazed. I also liked the gradual slanted back instead of a calk, for a smooth release. The caulk was always in my way.

Your horseshoes are excellent! I have tried many different brands,------, but since I have gotten use to the smooth top with no calk for finger tip release, my ringer % has went up by 20 %. I won my State Class Championship!

I enjoyed talking to you about your new shoes. As mentioned, for me they are the best design I have come across. With the way I grip my shoes, I do not want a calk on the toe area. The balance is perfect, and even with a natural two flips, my shoes will be ringers every time, providing I hit the pole!

Just for your information, I am an amateur horseshoe pitcher, having only joined a league two weeks ago. At one of the meetings, I had the pleasure of throwing some of your shoes.  Being new to the sport, I never dreamed that different shoes could make a difference. For the three games I used your shoes, my ringer percentage was double my usual average! I simply had to get a pair of  MD. D. SHOES after that experience (much to the chagrin of my wife).
