Mr Buddy fund is proud to help  Jodi and
Buckles with his surgery.

I drove 400 miles after work to get Buckles from a shelter here in Wisconsin.  His family gave him up after 2 and 1/2 years, and he was terrified there.  A kind shelter worker there asked if I would help get him out of the shelter.  I was so sad when I saw how scared he was, and still is, but he is getting better.  He has endured some abuse, particularly from a female, he seems to do better with men.   I saw right away he had two cysts on his neck and  his back left leg didn't work right, so as soon as I got him to the vet they told me he needs his knee repaired due to a luxating patella.  We are trying a course of steriods and antibiotics to try and reduce the fluid filled cysts and if we can't accomplish that, then he will need surgery and biopsies for that as well.  His bills are over $100.00 and the luxating patella surgery is expected to be at least $500.00.  We will worry about the cysts if the two couses of meds he is currently on don't work...

He is very sweet and cuddly, totally crate trained and house broken, and will make a perfect addition to a home.  He so much needs a break in life, and to get a little help getting a second chance~

Hugs,
Jodi

Mr Buddy fund is proud to help  Buddy and Linda Kreisle
Buddy came from uncertain background. He is heartworm positive and has an adenocarcinoma peeking out of his rectum. Since this is a fast growing cancer, he is going Tuesday morning for xrays to check for metastises and if none are found, he will have the tumor removed. Buddy is also still intact and if he is tolerating anesthetic ok, he will also be neutered while he is under.

Normally my vet would never do surgery on a dog undergoing heartworm
treatment, but in Buddy's case we have no choice. The cancer metastisizes quickly and grows quickly.

Buddy is three, and a beautiful boy. He also had a bad case of worms when he
got here and was very underweight. He is very sweet and although he's been
here for almost 2 weeks, I have never heard him bark or whine. He just wiggles his behind and wants nothing more to be with you. He's a typical boston who
likes to lie on his back in your arms and get belly rubs. He is truly a
special boy and one of my favorite rescues ever.

Buddy's surgery went very well and he was able to be neutered at the same
time.  He is now officially the 2d most expensive rescue dog I've had, LOL.  The
rock was shaped like a fat arrowhead with several sharp edges.  It was also
quite large.  I have no idea why it hasn't shredded his stomach!

He's the best boy.  After his stitches come out and his heartworm check is
repeated next week, he'll be ready to go to his new home.  I am awaiting a home
visit to finalize that, but everything looks well with the adoptive home.

The news about my mother is not so great.  She's having more surgery next
Thursday, removing the rest of the jawbone, salivary glands, and lymph nodes
followed by 6 weeks of daily radiation.  She is a trooper, as always, and planning
a dinner party for her Widow's Club Saturday night since it may be the last
time she gets to eat with them.

Thanks so much for your assistance with Buddy!
