M4N3-Students will solve problems involving multiplication of 2-3 digit numbers by 1-2 digit numbers.

We have switched from multiplication to subtraction sheets as of 10/10. I kept the first sheets for the records, but I see subtraction is a bit weak overall, so we will work on it for the next several weeks.

A solid week in multiplication. What I see as overall weakness is the product plus and addend. What I mean is that in greater multiplication you carry over from tens and hundred so knowing how to do a problem like "6 x 8+3" is critical to mastering this standard!
If you saw our newsletter, I placed a great emphasis on X facts. Work them in the car, at dinner, shopping, any time is a good time for "times"!
We took our Chapter 6 test on Friday and I'll be assessing over the weekend. Look for them Monday. Remember that I give a chance to "redo" the incorrect problems for a better grade!
This week we start off with greater multiplication and estimaton with X. We'll also be working x and y by rolling out some algebra.
