Mr. Arnold's  4th Grade Class-Math

Math Standards for 9/10-9/14 (Mr. Arnold's and Mrs. Studdard's classes.)

M4N3-Students will solve problems involving multiplication of 2-3 digit numbers by 1-2 digit numbers.

M4N2d-Represent results of computation as a rounded number when appropriate.

M4N7d-Compute numbers using parentheses

M4P1a-Build new mathematical knowledge through problem solving.

M4P3c-Analyze and evaluate the mathematical thinking and strategies of others.

This week may be easier as we are shifting into whole number addition and subtraction.  Still, if you have time, please work with your child on rounding to the 100 millions!  Don't forget, in 5th grade they are expected to round into the hundred billions!

I may not update the math concepts page until we have all the tests in.
Click over to math help to see how you can reinforce the concepts that need some polishing.

There was a lot of confusion on rounding, especially money; addition and subtraction should be a bit of a relief!  We'll also practice multiplication daily.
