Currently we have:
• quilted wall hangings and quilted cot covers which are a mixture of machine sewing and hand sewing
• hand painted silk scarves
• hand made soaps
• collectable hand made teddy bears and accessories
• lustre ware including decorative plates, vases, tea bag holders etc. When a lusterware item is first painted, all colours appear brown or green, making it a tricky business to ascertain true colours. It is only when pieces are fired to about 800 degrees Celsius that the true colours emerge.
• china painting. China painting is easier to apply but requires many firings to create strong colours.
• hand made designer knits
• stained glass mosaics
• water colour paintings and greeting cards made from original paintings
• leatherwork including stamped belts, carved handbags and plaques
• stained glass suncatchers and wall hangings
• bead work
• crystal suncatchers
• felted scarves
• hand made glass platters
Not all items are on display at each event. If a member cannot attend, we try to get them to drop off their work earlier in the week but sometimes that is impossible.
