About MRACC
Macedon Ranges Art & Craft Co-operative (MRACC) was formed in 2004. A small group of its members attended a one day ‘Art & Craft as a Small Business’ workshop late in 2003. We tossed around the idea of forming a co-operative so that we could showcase our work. None of us were in a position to open our own shop. We just wanted a safe and friendly environment to sell our hand made items. Currently we have over 15 members.
After lots of research, including visiting another craft co-operative, paper work was filed to open a ‘not for profit’ co-operative. This took place in September 2004. In November 2004, we rented a small room in another shop in Lancefield. We continued at that site until June 2005, when the shop changed hands. As there were only 15 members of the co-operative, we found it quite difficult to man the shop as many of us worked either full time or part time.
MRACC then changed its focus and started holding one day events at the Courthouse/Museum in Lancefield.

We are always looking for new members to join us. A monthly meeting takes place where we discuss ways of moving forward, look at potential members’ work and generally do any housekeeping. New membership enquiries can contact us via email [email protected]
